Check out the Carpenters' "Bacharach/David medley." It's a bit breakneck, but the opener "Knowing When to Leave" is so so good. Dionne Warwick is a great interpreter of their songs, but Aretha Franklin's "I Say a Little Prayer" is one of the greatest pop recordings of the 20th century.
@RaymondHng

"(They Long to Be) Close to You" was first recorded with Richard Chamberlain on vocal and then with Dionne Warwick. But their versions were not big successes. Richard Carpenter's arrangement of the song (with modification to the introduction and the bridge) along with Karen's vocal made it a big hit.
