My bonding from 1986 lasted until 2023 😬 it was $90/ tooth in 1986. The total was equal to 2 mortgage payments 😆 I had my top four front teeth done. Great value, great dentist! A mailbox had jumped in front of me riding my bike 😂

@@fireball1058 do you really expect an anterior composite restoration to last more than 5-6 years? The cost to effect ratio from our country's dental healthcare is definitely better than what a LOT of other countries' boast of. Why do y'all use sub-standard dental materials and up the labour and technique cost of so many procedures? And then, you have the nerve to sneer at everyone else. Hypocrisy maximum lmao

@@dhruv1019composite restorations have lasted up to 15 years... We have older patients who come in regularly for cleanings and they have 10 year old composite fillings. Yes they last more than 5-6 years. Funny how people are willing to speard false information with such confidence, so embarrassing. If your dentistry was as good as you say, we would not have so many patients from India who are upset due to failing implants, fillings, crowns, and bridges. And as i said before in my comment, I'm sure it's not all dentistry in India. But it is A LOT.

@ciaomamabella

Because the dental industry are nothing but scam artists thinking they’re saving the world by charging $1k - $25,000k to fix teeth because they spent 1Mil on dentistry school and want to live a lavish lifestyle bc they’re “drs” of teeth. It’s really bazaar when you actually think about it. Even dental insurance is a scam. And never covers very much.
@TheArmouredOne
@TheArmouredOne 8 ай бұрын
Why is a dental chair $100,000? Why do dentists need to pay $6000+ for insurance, registration and accreditations each year to even work? Why are most new graduates in 6 digits of debt after dental school? Why does a 5-6ml bonding agent for your filings cost $200? Why is dentistry so expensive? Because the base cost is so high and people need to maintain profit margins.

Therefore you never let a stupid orthodontist pull your premolars for braces!! They retract your jaw, thus making your jaw smaller. Restricting airways, tongue space. This can give you TMD, with many symptoms such as jaw and neck pain, ear problems like tinnitus, galea aponeurotica tension which causes hair loss and so on. You could be one of the lucky few that do not suffer these symptoms, but why do such a gamble just to fix a simple bite problem. There are much safer methods to fix your bite error than pulling teeth. Teeth gone is permanent. Making your arch/jaw to fit the teeth you were born with is much safer. The orthodontic industry is corrupt and needs a change for the better. There needs to be implemented precision engineering when we are talking about bite force, teeth fitting together. There also needs to be your body’s anatomy takin into consideration such as tongue space, airways, jaw joint placement, etc.

Orthodontists are not corrupt. I agree that the healthiest option would be to preserve the arch width as much as possible to allow for a more open nasal airway. There also has to be a balance of realistic expectations. Finances, aesthetics, oral hygiene, and other things are taken into consideration as well. You're looking at it from one perspective when in reality there are several other factors involved.

Fun fact: you are wrong 😭 Enamel can remineralise. But true decay will only get bigger. Jaw bone height lost will never realistically come back. A tooth that has infection within the pulp/nerve will remain a source of infection until root canal or extraction. The only thing good oral hygiene can do is maintain what you got and help the gums regain some attachment (maybe) A decayed tooth is a decayed tooth, a dead tooth is a dead tooth, a loose tooth will likely remain somewhat loose even with the best oral hygiene in the world.
