Compromised: Peter Strzok And The Investigation Of Donald Trump

On August 10, 2018, veteran FBI agent Peter Strzok was fired after personal text messages from 2016 disparaging then-candidate Donald Trump were released. President Trump celebrated, writing on Twitter “Fired FBI Agent Peter Strzok is a fraud, as is the rigged investigation he started. There was no Collusion or Obstruction with Russia, and everybody, including the Democrats, know it.”
But Strzok’s story is anything but straightforward. He led the FBI’s investigation into both Hillary Clinton’s private email server and Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, drawing the ire of conservative allies of the president. When his text messages were released, they provided ammunition for the conspiracy theory of a “deep state” out to undermine Trump’s presidency.

I would suggest that Trump followers are not real patriots since they support an authoritarian... who told them I ALONE CAN FIX IT (meaning the government). Given what Trump has done to our Democracy, the risk he has revealed himself to be, the contempt he has shown for the Constitution and for the rights of citizens to engage successfully in a self-ruling representative government through voting, we have to admit Peter Strzok saw Trump far more clearly than Republicans. That we have still not been able to properly rein in Trump's corruption and abuse of power is a sign of how easily tilted toward dictatorship our government can be. Manipulation of our foundational citizen protections to create wealth accumulation by the few and special privileges for white supremacists while creating dissonance and chaos among citizens has become a major component of Trumpism. The irony of watching Trump's contempt for democracy grow to extreme size is an object lesson to citizens who have watched his enabling by Republicans unwilling to stand against his rapacious need for power. The latest example of this is the attempt in conservative controlled States to sever voters and their votes from the Electoral College. State Republican legislators are passing laws which make them able to nullify voters choices for President on their own say-so, setting up a future chaotic situation pitting citizens against their Legislatures, States against States, DC against States and the Supreme Court right back into more Gore v Bush quagmires. All this because Republicans have lost their spine as well as their ability to think and àct independently. Giving Trump an inch resulted in giving him a conviction that he really can shoot people in public, in broad daylight, on the steps and halls and offices of the Capitol Building even and still nothing will happen to him. First he said it and then he made it come true using fall guys to do his dirty work for him. Who would have predicted such a corruption of justice under the GOP? Methinks a man like Strzok had a clarity of vision missing in his tormentors. And that is probably why Republicans living on Trump's coattails worked so hard to get rid of him. Our loss for sure.

@Mal Mort - Actually, if you actually READ the Mueller report, you will see that many members of the trump campaign did in fact meet with, encourage and get information from and pass information to the Russians during the 2016 campaign. Did it arise to the level of conspiracy? Since we haven't seen much of the actual evidence since trump's AG Barr refused to release it -- it's hard to know just how much of it there was. And since we know that Mueller didn't look at trump's finances and how that might or might not have had something to do with the 2016 campaign - we don't know how deep that goes either.

Why was the intelligence community -- and its associates in the state dept. -- so concerned about a candidate who dared to be critical of the hedge fund billionaires? British and U. S. intelligence operatives worked together in an operation to effect regime change in Russia for a return to the good old days before all those Russian oligarchs had to flea to England. In part, individuals in positions such as Strzok had to protect the computer geniuses who were friends with L. Jean Camp who produced logs used to open up a FBI investigation of the alleged Trump Tower server "communicating with the Russian bank" that Hillary tweeted about on Oct. 31 before the 2016 election, only for the New York Times to write that the info from the computer geniuses (who were contractors with the intelligence agencies) was fake. So, when Obama was saying that he wanted the right people to "investigate" the Trump staff, he was thinking apparently of Strzok and not the rank and file professionals at the FBI who investigated the alleged Trump Tower server "communicating with the Russian bank" that brought a lawsuit from Alfa Bank being ignored by the U. S. media.

Look at the Prevezon Case brought by Preet Bharara (formerly of the SDNY that "targeted" Trump's political associates and campaign volunteers) at the insistence of Bill Browder to get a clue about the infamous "Trump Tower meeting with the 'Russian lawyer' and 'the Russian spy'" -- the "talking points memo" in particular that doesn't get close scrutiny (read the testimonies of the participants available on the site for the Senate Judiciary Committee), while the alleged deal for a "Trump Tower in Moscow with a penthouse for Putin" is thrown around just as all the sick rumors in Washington D. C. and NYC about "Trump Tower server communicating with a Russian bank", "Trump Tower secret meeting with Putin's agents to make a deal to remove sanctions" (Democrat's translator was used by N. Veselnitskaya who was successful in getting Bill Browder on camera in his deposition for the Prevezon Case.) and the big lie of "17 intelligence agencies" confirming Russian interference (listen to former CIA Russian analyst Ray McGovern and NSA scientist Bill Binney). The jump from spreading rumors and leaks to the media to the involvement of the lawyers in the FBI and DOJ (along with the lawyers of the Nat. Security Council who were friends with Lt. Col. Vindman) was a most damaging decision and apparently a most desperate move for reasons that will be exposed during the second term of the Trump administration with new lawyers in the federal agencies that are not weaponized for political machine power and international corruption protection. And yes, all those weaponized NGO's and international foundations will have their day in court -- perhaps, a new international criminal court -- , as well as the exiled Russian oligarchs who so hate the growing Populist Movement against corruption that is going global!

We need truths to come out, it's our only hope. It's become a matter of life and death, not just for us, but the planet. I remember that day of the inauguration, with just the little bit of information that I knew, praying to God, there was a deep state, and that justice was still working in this country. Now I'm just afraid, praying that people like Peter keep talking, long and loudly, that someone just please point out that they already knew he was dangerous to the country. People will never take this seriously, because they figure, if they were really criminals, why weren't they arrested long ago? cherrish roseberry-cornell Your take is very interesting and reminds me of a Vietnam vet named Scott Camil who was in thick of battles and hardcore survival before coming back to the states and with the national guard on the universities. Before standing guard, he pointed out that to get the students to back down from protesting, you just shoot a few and they’d stop real quick. After those in charge convinced him that was unacceptable, Scott went on to give his story with other military from the Winter Soldier Testimonials. After absorbing the realities of the horror stories including his own, he came to the realization that the war was wrong and the students were right to protest and he joined them. That he was a hardened vet, fighting for his country, ready to shoot students at one point and then joining them side by side in solidarity soon thereafter was the kind of seachange that I wish more could experience. I don't know of anyone who has concerns about the deep state, who thinks the local postman or the park ranger has any larger political interest. Career bureaucrats in Washington, on the other hand, especially taken as a group large enough to engage in groupthink, are more where the Deep State concerns come from. That type of self admitted bias is exactly the kind of thing that no police or government agent should be using to target people he personally doesn't like. When facts and evidence are not required to initiate an investigation, it degrades the integrity of all investigations. And it leads to $40 million dollar witch hunts for personal reasons.

I really appreciate Peter Strzok for having done such a great job with really lousy questions from the interviewer who seems to have been intimidated beforehand by angry Trump fans.

Both Peter Strzok, James Comey , Andrew McCabe. 3 Great Career FBI fellows , all wiped out by the evil man. He had a vendetta against the Bureau back to the 1980's where He and his daddy had a policy of not to rent to persons of color and when they investigated and caught him, well vengeance is his trait. . He also said he 'won " the case when he was caught saying no to a person of color and then yes to a white person, So he settled paying the victim $1,000.00 and giving up an apartment to the lady of color. So Trump settled when caught but told the papers he won. Hence he and the Bureau.
