Comtac 3 w/ Ops Core Amp Arms Install | AXL RAC Link | Team Wendy Helmet

I finally upgraded my ear pro from Howard Lieghts to Comtac 3s. I use AXL Advanced RAC Links, Ops Core AMP Arms and Unity Tactical Adapters to install these onto my Team Wendy Bump Helmet.

How have these held up re: the reported issues with the adapters holding the amp arms to the rail and the seal? Looking at doing this same set up but obviously don't want to shell out 250 if it's going to be subpar compared to the Unity adapters. Thanks.

To attach the ops core amp to the peltor and then to the team wendy, you need the axl rac link?

How do you keep your PrincetonTec attached to your helmet? Just Velcro on the back or is there an attachment that has Velcro?

Just the Velcro, I don’t do anything too crazy so it works for me.

@@80hd6 Vs. I know a lot of people who have went to amps and went back to comtacs. I still haven’t bought amps, but these days I’m leaning more towards the Vs if I can snag a good deal on them.

Have the arms stayed in place pretty well for you? Some other vids say they tend to slide out of the slots on the helmet.

@@chrisakafrench How about the seal? did it hold up, break at anytime and were you comfortable / hearing safe during the hunt? Did you have to double up underneath? I have them as well and with both std ear cup"s and Gels I just can't seam to get a good seal, looking like I will have to double up myself, especially during training with xyz amount of pew pew going off all around me .

@@hardcharger67 mine have worked well, I’ll be hunting this weekend the first time with the gel cups so I can give feed back on those then. But could your seals be a helmet fitment issue? Like does your ear pro bump your helmet at the top because of how low your helmet sits? I’ve have friends need to add thicker padding to raise the helmet 1/4-1/2 to get their ear pro sealed right. They just had small heads.

@@chrisakafrench They are slightly touching so I'll try adding some more padding to raise the helmet. I have to say though, I'm not that impressed with the set I got, they just don't seem to apply that much force in comparison to the Arc Attachments I've used in the past, grant it I only have a sample of one so only time will tell. I'll be sure to report back on how it worked out after installing the extra padding, thx.
