@Peter Evans that's the best "I am short but..." Rant ever.
@DivinesLegacy3 жыл бұрын
@Peter Evans people always say this lol, but I can debunk this easily, German Americans are the same height as Germans in Germany. The reason the stats show the average German is taller than the average American is because the United States is much more diverse in terms of ethnic groups. For example the average Latino is around 5”7 and The US has around 50 million Latinos along with 20,000,000 Asians. and Asians and Latinos are known for being short. So what that does is bring the average height down. But if you were to compare German Americans and Germans there would be little to no difference in terms of height. For example the average height in Alabama is 5”11 for men where it’s really white. Compared to Germany where it’s only 5”10 for men.

There is no such modern German word as "Sleizer", but it _is_ a German-origin surname, coming from an old spelling for "Schleizer" (where "sch" is pronounced the same as "sh" in English), which means "slicer". So Conan was really lucky that that Leo didn't slice his throat :-)

The Harald Schmidt Show initially stole heavily from Conan and Letterman. But especially during the first season. Sadly, Feuerstein died this year and Harald Schmidt enjoys his TV pension since his show went off air in 2014 because TV audience was declining steadily and Schmidt probably was past his prime. They are about the same height. Harald Schmidt is 194 cm, that's 6 feet 4 3/8 inches for you Barbarians with your antiquated measuring system. Conan's height is given as 6'4", but an inch is 2.54 cm, so you measure height with less precision than the rest of the world and it's uncertain which one is taller.
@Daneelro4 жыл бұрын
@Ryan D Ave Mr. Barbarian, what's pathetic is your projection of your own saltiness on me for a jestful comment, topped by a total non-sequitur. Who cares whether your system of measurement is accurate or not? What matters more is whether everyone is on the same page, like when traders meet at the Limes. All the world adopted metric for that reason, even US scientists and (LOL) gun manufacturers did, so the rest of the US is backward on this, whether that hurts your feelings or not.

I wish there was more footage so we could get extended version. Not necessary the last part with party night out, as they say - what happend in Cologne, stays in Cologne :)
