I love how much she admires and loves Conan. Yes he gets uncomfortable with accolades but deep down his inner child who wanted the attention in a big family really appreciates it ❤. People forget how much planning and trial-and-error goes into this performance of a comedy set. Even though we know its not impromptu, and we know these are pre-written jokes, we dont also appreciate that there are pre-written asides, pre-written callbacks. The _pauses_ between jokes are planned. The entire performance is under her control, not just "the jokes."

I love hearing them both give it up to the people that help them with these big events or appearances. I watch Conan's commencement speech at Dartmouth from 2011 at least once a year. It's hilarious and he delivers it so perfectly. It's probably a prime example of a finished product of many people working together. Conan and Nikki are both hilarious comedians anyway, and it's cool that they shout out to the writers that they work with.

I was watching a David Spade interview the other day and he was talking about how he didn't have a lot of his stuff published/ran early on in SNL and he mentioned the competition at the time and the very first person he listed when talking bout how great the writing staff was was "Conan" and his tone was even different than the other people he listed. I thought that was very telling in regards to how a lot of other comedians view Conan. If anyone was interested I "THINK" it was the Rich Eisen interview.

Honestly hearing about how much effort she put in to create such a good roast makes me think even more highly of her. She set a high bar for herself and hired people and tested out everything until she reached it. Getting to that level is definitely not feasible every time, but she 100% proved that she is capable and comfortable achieving it.

I love Nikki, ever since I first caught her act on Last Comic Standing a couple decades ago, and her roast of Brady was fantastic. But Greg Giraldo is still above and beyond the best there ever was. Some of his jokes at all of his roasts gave me asthma attacks from laughing so hard. As good as Nikki is, she has not come close to that and nowadays my asthma is sooooooo much worse than it was when Greg was still alive.
