But many TV stations up to the mid 2000's shot on videotape not film, and the resolution recorded to the tape was usually 480i. Even though this youtube video is in 1080p, you can tell the source video is a lower resolution than that and it's merely an upscale. Since this interview is from 2004 there's a possibility it was shot in 720p on tape, but honestly it looks more like 480p to me. They probably did some digital cleanup to it to make it look a bit better, but it's still clearly of a different time.
