I don’t think he’d do it because he says he can’t play the song and do vocals live. One of my favs but I can understand why he wouldn’t be comfortable putting out a re-recorded version.
@voidofhope62596 ай бұрын
Pretty sure Josh himself said something along the lines of “the reason there’s a noticeable difference between the EOTE and COAA riffs and such is he(Josh) would have a difficult time doing vocals over those riffs” and I understand that. That’s why they don’t really play anything off those older albums live anymore.

The BEST album from them in MY opinion. The balance between cleans on harsh vocals of this album was perfect. The guitar melodies were perfect, the solos were impeccable. A brilliant album front to back.

The thing about lighter string gauges always resonated with me. I've always a big advocate of lighter sets, when we supported you guys in Sheffield in 2008/2009 area I was running 11-56 in drop A and you guys we're still heavier than everyone that night in E standard lol

You're absolutely right, with this guitar tone. Never wanna notch out those high end frequencies completely. Cleaning it up with EQ in the final mix is best. Because that's probably my favourite thing about the tone is that it's absolutely chunky you're right but the rhythm guitars just soar in the mix and it's so tight and articulate and when you palm mute or do really fast rhythms like in Teras for example it sounds wicked and it doesn't sound brittle and when chords are ringing out or playing melodies can hear it all so clearly. The guitars don't take over in the mix too and it's thumpy without being harsh and fizzy either. What a tone.

Couple years ago now, I bought a similar guitar from LTD. It came with Elixir strings and a little piece of tin string tree. Man was it dull sounding, yet had sitar buzzing on the B and E strings. Its the TE1000 Black Blast. Just putting on fresh EB Slinkys 10-46, and a Graphtech string tree. Completely changed the way the guitar played and sounded. I did upgrade the tone capacitor with an orange drop and added a treble bleed curcuit. But otherwise just gave it a killer set up. With the swamp ash body, string through hipshot bridge, roasted maple neck and fretboard, stainless frets and locking tuners. Frick'n thing barks like an attack dog on kill. I have to play it way differently, to keep the nasty overtones from biting me. Its no chorus strumming guitar, thats for sure. Its made for peeling flesh off faces.
