I have eaten at Emeril's twice and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is amazing and the service is IMPECCABLE. It is somewhat expensive, but very well worth it. I never have a problem paying a lot of money for great food and even better service. Every time I go to NOLA I will eat there.

I've been to 3 of the 4 hot spots they landed and truly believe in those being the old and the new NOLA. Concluding with cocktails at the ACE hotel on the terrace, bringing back great memories.. and very, thumping headaches the next morning!

When he was talking about the humidity... when I lived in New Orleans, the humidity was the BIGGEST draw back to baking. I could bake a loaf of bread on Monday and by Thursday, the baking conditions would be totally different.

Antoine is the oldest restaurant in America and the food is good and reasonably priced. But it is a senior citizen spot so it doesn’t get promoted often. You do have to go though the building is huge and they’ll give you a tour. And if you’re into wine it is the best place in New Orleans they have multiple somms on staff and have a dungeon of a wine cellar worth millions

Morning Call isn't there anymore. Cafe du Monde outbid Morning Call and won the bid to run the building there. Morning Call is actually only 3 years younger than Cafe du Monde. Cafe du Monde has become the touristy place while Morning Call is more for locals.

He went to Morning Call in City Park for beignets at the beginning of the video. Morning Call has been around for 150 years. Cafe Du Monde has been around for 158 years. So they have both been competitors for that long, and both are great.

Either you just happened to catch them at a bad time, or I just happened to catch them at a good time. Who knows.

Professional jealousy=== the top place for both food and ambience is Galatoire.s. My dad's favorite was Commander's. We lived in the Lower Pontalba, so TUJAQUE'S was just around the corner with the best shrimp jambalaya. Bon Ton had the world's best bread pudding ==and whisky sauce. Bon apetit! No trip to New Orleans would be the real experience without staying at the Hotel Monteleone.

Haven't tried kirbys, only place I eat seafood is Casamento's. It's always fresh, and it's absolutely the best! Soft shell crab sandwich is AMAZING! Try it out!

Why didn't you take her for authentic New Orleans soul food like Mother's, Dunbar's or the famous Dooky Chase by Mrs. Leah Chase. There was also the famous Gene's po-boys! At the beginning showing him meeting the presenter, he has his shirt tails out, for a good reason. What used to be an energetic young chef on beginning of the Food Network in the mid-90s, has eaten too much, and has much more than a middle-age spread. He's fat. But, funnily, his bank account is probably much fatter. Great city he's revisiting.
