I rarely if ever use more than one to two eggs in a standard cake, it causes the density to increase. I always start my cakes at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, than drop temp to 335, and bake in ten min increments. Top rack, rotate once. Vanilla extract to taste, absolutely needed for this cake, imo. When you can smell the cooked cake, AND sides pull away from pan, time to remove the cake to cooling rack. This is so funny. Because there are people who say USING eggs makes a cake LIGHTER!! And from personal experience, adding an egg makes any baked thing taste lighter. I don't know what types of eggs you use that makes your cakes dense. 🤔

Since the pandemic, I have been making this because it is a great easy recipe, no baking time and delicious. Once in a while I add a little canned fruit or fresh berries - but very little because they sink to the bottom and it's not a large cake. But it's a great go to to snack on, breakfast bites. I still make this once every week or two!! Keep recipe as is. Butter gives it flavor and condensed milk, sweet. Hence, no sugar. Eggs make a lighter cake. Without eggs it's heavier. Shortcuts in baking are iffy. Thank you for the baking powder measurement because we don't always have self rising flour on hand - I go through it - and for the recipe in the description box 🥰

@@spicy_foodz Made this last night. Usually, I use self rising flour but this time I used the Baking powder and all purpose flour. One egg was bad - ha! But at room temperature. So grabbed another egg - this condensed milk cake came out so fluffy! It rose, whereas the others didn't rise. They were flat and heavy. It has me seriously considering not using self rising flour anymore. Best recipe I've come across for a condensed milk cake! Thank you 🥰

I doubled the ingredients and baked in a bigger pan and boy o boy. It was amazing. I added creamy milk since I only used 375grams of condensed milk + vanilla extract & cinnamon.

Update. The cake was a fail in texture but a pass in taste. I realized I added way too much eggs cause the cake came out rubbery, also the oven was too hot so the cake burned and I had to scrape away the burnt parts

I added 4 eggs and more butter almost half a cup, it came out fluffier. Also, added vanilla extract, orange zest, dry fruits and cinnamon for some flavour and fragrance.

I made this in a Samsung oven for 25 mins at 180. The texture on top was harder and the bottom half was a little soft. The cake smells of egg ( pls add vanilla essence). Also the cake was dry. Nothing close to the video. :(

That's because you left the cake in the oven for a bit too long. Adjust the cooking time according to your oven's temperature.
