But when we're guests, how to make sure we're not being rude/invasive etc... I've known people who come into your space (house, room,...) and instantly start acting like they own the place, sitting wherever, touching anything, taking "too much" space as if they own the room; and I've always hated that. It's not your place/space, chill 😅

It's all 100% natural now, but I learned each piece one by one!!! ❤ I did notice that most of the women there (we are a male dominated industry) were looking amazing as well! Not over dressed, underdressed, all very classy, confident, friendly and fitting in perfectly. Thank you!!! I was victim of extreme child abuse and not fit for any social interaction or society. It’s weird I was literally watching her video and I’m like I wonder if she’s always been like those I know that she wasn’t because she was on a reality TV show and she said she was really sad. I think it’s just about choosing a new reality that you want to step in to. Do I wanna be the side girl that’s never chosen and that’s desperate for validation no I don’t need validation from anyone the only person that I need validation from us myself. I find your story very inspiring I am still trying to navigate things as well . And you hear stories all the time of people like the girl that was locked in her house her whole life with all of her siblings she’s just like living her best life now.

@@AnnaBeyOfficial 😢 I dont think I can improve. People dont show interest to me not even if I fake to be more confident... people simply ignore me or I have to fake myself to pleased them. why nobody is interest to me and I always have myself to adapt me to others? I think my lack of confidence is also because people are so different from me... I feel like I fight to have someone who accept me. Im tired to always show interest to their things and when I try to express myself, they all abandoned me. So I stopped to show confidence. Im confident only with who will be like me. But hard to meet People who think the same you think... Im insecure person anyway because my parents educated me too much with severity...its hard at 48 years old to change... Im so insecure and always look below... i try to be more confident but useless... 😢😢
@em_oh_gee7 ай бұрын
@@fanvideos8272 I used to think the same, would like the same things other people like, go where the others wanted to go etc. feeling, like my interests and thoughts are useless. But I heard this phrase : don't try to sell a Ferrari to someone who can only afford an old Ford. Don't try to "sell" yourself to people who "can't afford" your presence. There are not many people like you? Then be around those few people that make you feel confident being yourself, rather than a crowd, that denies you. I found peace with a handful of people I can rely on in a 12mln city. I trust them, I would move a mountain for them and I know, they would do the same for me. One of them told me, when I nearly cried, that I'm just a burden and ruined the party because I got an awful cough attack and slight breathing problems, that I am stupid, I'm never a problem, I am a kind person and I should expect nothing less than kindness in return. And the same applies to you, love ❤.

It's surprising, but really and truly, people naturally equate slow speed with elegance. I've discovered this through kind feedback people have given me directly. (I'm nearly a sloth. 😊) But here's a clear example you may have seen yourself: There's a scene in The Tourist where Angelina Jolie has to walk a distance through Venice without dialog. She explained that the director made her re-do the scene multiple times, telling her to slow down more and more, because he wanted her to project an elegant demeanor. She said that she found this very difficult, as she's naturally someone who moves quickly. In reality, the final take wasn't that slow. It just looks unhurried.

Body language speaks volumes!!! I am naturally more introverted, but I consciously try to combat that by standing up straight and making eye contact with people rather than being a wallflower - it can get a little tiring being "on" so often, but it's necessary for my job and the payoff has been well worth it: I have increased my network by simply being more open to conversation and meeting more people.

I walked out of the department store at a slower pace, I walked comfidently with a foot in front of the other in a feminine way and I felt confident in how I presented.. and I got approached by several men because of it! I was stunned, because that never happens to me! So that's my little experience with that there

I was always insecure person as my family educated me with many restrictions and many times shout me that I was an unable person that I grow up with many unconfidences... I grow up and I see that nothing become better. I feel so insecure even more than before, like If People judge me. But I think is true as I show so much not confidence, that I just look to others like a real demented. So they speak to me like if are speaking with a girl of 10 years ago. And I feel Im boring as I Don t have pinterest to be honest to what people often speak about it. So is very hard that I can change. I always look below when people speak to me and I feel Im really judged because my body language says negative things.. they always says "smile more" but I cant smile more or I should fake. I feel so insecure because Im really an useless person... so I dont really know, some wounds cant heal... I was too much hurted to act like a confident normal person.. i dont think I can improve, but some little bit I could feel at least look not too much not confident... but Im just faking and when people speak to me, they can see that Im so boring person... I always have to show interest to their things and to what they says , to feel accepted, but if I should express myself they would not listen to me. I always to be me the one that have to accept what they do. Nobody accept me for what I m. So why I have always to do effort myself? If others are not interested in my friendship, then, I dont need them too. Im tired to show fake interest to their discussion and even if I do this, all friends (fake) ends anyway.. so I will stay alone... Im tired to pretend not to be myself.

Thanks Anna! A great video with helpful tips once again. I would like to add something to the conversation. In all that I've learnt about etiquette, confident body language and the like, I do wonder where people on the autism spectrum fit into this. I am diagnosed with autism (Asperger's syndrome) and a lot of autistic people stim (fidget like I rock back and forth), can't make eye contact and don't always fit in with what is typically considered "elegant". I am both autistic and I am interested in elegance and it's been tricky for me to find my place in the elegance community and wondered at times if I even belong or if being autistic excludes me from being elegant. I can mask my autism traits for a while to appear confident and elegant but I also know that my confidence has improved greatly since accepting my authentic autistic self and not hiding my autistic traits. I wonder if there are any other neurodivergent ladies who watch Anna's content and wonder how do they fit in with the elegance community while also being quite different?

Anna, this video is really good one (as are others as well). I really enjoyed it and love how you covered everything in such nice and polite and positive way. And couldn't agree more with you. I like new style of making videos and I love your subtitles (was using automatic from YT). This is example how videos can "grow" Regarding eye contact, I think it is very important to keep it and have learned (in NLP educatios) that there are some types of people who are not comfortable with it while they talk. Since I realised it, I'm giving my best to make a difference between that type of people and the people who are not that type (it's important for a lot of things). Looking forward your next video (regardless the subject, it is just going to be great). Thank you ❤

Such interesting tips, will def try! The slowing down is so true. I have a dog who walks slow and sniffs everything. This has lead me to walk past cafeterias and outdoor seatings in bars/restaurants in a very slow pace. It was so uncomfortable at first, since I normally would pass by quickly. With time, I also told myself to breath, embrace the slow paste and look at the people at the tables. I even let her stop and sniff, even if it means standing still in front of the establishment for a longer period. Now I see it as a wonderful challenge :D

This is so exhausting. I'm very sure of myself and confident, but some of the things in the video are things I've done, which causes people to read me as being unsure or not confident. People have given me the unsolicited advice of being more confident or not worrying about something, when that's not even my issue. I hate that it has to be so performative and that we all have to do the same things in order to DISPLAY confidence, even if we already are. It's somehow ok to do these things in order to PRETEND to be confident.
