This is an awesome format!! I love this duel!! Only thing missing is the NFL Draft music LOL!! Sebby, you're my favorite, YOU were the one who influenced me to max out 5/24, Platinum 100K, and as I told you via IG that my girlfriend got the 125K, but in this duel, Brian is the winner. As much as I love hotel keeper cards, Brian got most of the core valuable cards, including the Chase Trifecta, CIP, and Freedom Student. CSR also has a good downgrade path, so the CIP is a good fallback for transferring points to partners. However, in the 2nd half, Brian's ego against United and some questionable picks like the Starbucks and Disney cards, Sebby captures the 2nd half. I especially LOVE how Sebby stuck the United Club card to Brian in the end. That was epic. But in the all important first half, Brian wins.

I would prefer Sebby's set up. Sebby considers the cost & benefit of each card more thoroughly. Also, just like what he mentioned in the video, instead of spending thousands of dollars to earn points, I rather pay an annual fee and get positive value and perks from the cards I have. Moreover, if the set up no longer works for you, there's always a downgrade path to keep your credit history.

Cool idea for a vid. I have to say Seb is much more analytical, and his line up would likely bring more value in the form of free nights, etc, which I greatly appreciate but my vote is Brian's, I really value the flexibility in the UR points given that my loyalty is mostly to my wallet and I've found we can use UR for some vacation rentals too outside the normal hotel chains. Great vid gents.

Hi Sebastian! I have a question for you. Can the PayPal key be used to do velocity banking versus Plastiq? I saw a commenter say that he does velocity banking with Plastiq because he can designate that the payment goes to "principal only."can you use the PayPal key to avoid the fee that Plastiq charges and pay down a mortgage faster?

Great video. Good to see two different strategies. Brian went for a heavy UR point setup; lots of earning categories and lots of flexibility. But Sebby you went for specific programs with initial status, upward mobility (for status and benefits), and down grade paths (mostly). Basically, out-sized value. I say Sebby narrowly edges Brian. I can't wait for the AMEX version of this!!!!

How are you able to open all of those cards though if there is a 5 card limit ? Or do some of these cards not count for the 5:24?

Chase biz cards are affected by 5/24 but doesn't add to it (doesn't go on your credit report). If @ 1/24 + biz card = still @ 1/24. Latter half was just for fun.
