The reason for having a wine cellar is that some (probably less than 10% of wines) wines taste better if you let them age anywhere from 2 to 30 years depending on the type of wine but it’s difficult to buy ones that are already aged. The first house's staircase looks cool but the "handrail" is merely a wall to keep you from falling off, there is no actual grasp-able place in case you are losing balance, and that's especially bad with wood stairs because they are ALWAYS slippery! Socks on, slightly wet/sweaty feet, you're walking strangely to accommodate a leg injury--I've always felt I was going to slip to my doom on wood stairs though I think I prefer the look over carpet!

Honestly, the reason for "wine collecting" is because rich people often purchase very luxury wines that are aged and most likely rare not an average "expensive wine" at the supermarket. A lot of the times, the wines they own are "vintage" meaning very aged and filled with flavour and made by very high end winery businesses from different countries.

I hate wood stairs I always slip when I have socks on then you crack your head on the hard wood and snap your leg on the spiral wall then when you try to phone the ambulance you can’t because you drop your phone and it breaks and falls down the 30 story stair case then you try to crawl to the first aid box but you poison yourself with the dirty floor that’s never cleaned then you slowly bleed out as you think about the home you could have got for 3m in literally anywhere but london
