This is one of the best "HOW TOO's ever... great job...And IF you need help from the 1800 number... Eric was also Fantastic with the Wiring...In the Instillation Description It asks you to Return a wire to the Thermostat G ...You Simply Remove the G wire from the Furnas and connect that wire to the G on the input of the humidifier so the new digital control is in that loop....Works fantastic thanks...He also informed me that the External Temperature Sensor Is very important to install outside.. .especially if you have very cold... this will compensate the unit so your windows do not sweat as much when its really Dry out from the super cold..... Thanks again I would highly recommend this Over the Honeywell Unit all day long....

I picked this up for work. My last one was smaller kzbin.infoUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj and cuter but the motor burned out within a few months. This one's footprint is a tad bigger but it still doesn't eat up a lot of desk space. Its size and shape blends into the background nicely. This has a good size water container so I don't need to refill more than once a week. I use filtered (not distilled) water because cleaning up after our hard water is tough at work. I like that this has several settings. It's also very quiet. (I have a silence naxi in the next cubicle.) It also hasn't left that terrible while powder, so far, that some humidifiers leave. Been using this for a month or so now and am very happy with my purchase.

Guess I don't read directions well! On the 3 60M units I had before (2 at my houses, 1 at my parents), the "Replace Pad" light never came on (even after years of use). Never thought you had to change a switch to activate it! [I did inspect the pads occasionally. But the light would have been nice!

I have an Aprilaire 500. My problem is that the humidistat only operates at the highest setting about 50 & clicks off when I lower the setting & vice versa . My windows were very wet at that setting. I checked everything else which is fine. At a lessor setting it doesn't seem to operate & it seems very dry. Is that normal? Is there any way to adjust that with a lower setting to avoid too much humidity? I hope this makes sense. Thank you.

My model 60 is reading inaccurate rh level. Waking up with dry nostrils and it stills read 45. Filter is dry and humidifier only runs on test mode. What’s the problem?

When installed in reverse (my furnace the main unit must be installed on the cold air return side), does the humidistat still get installed 6" above where it connects to the hot side?

Thank you for contacting Aprilaire! The Humidistat Control offers two modes of operation, Automatic or Manual. When in the Automatic mode, this system offers the following benefits: • You will always receive the optimum amount of humidity so that your home and its furnishings are always protected from the damaging effects of excess condensation or low humidity during the heating season. The control automatically adjusts your home’s RH based on the outdoor temperature, increasing the time maximum comfort is maintained. • Simple operation with few adjustments. The control eliminates the need to manually adjust the control when outdoor temperature changes. It also eliminates the need to turn the dial setting to OFF during the summer season. When installed in the Manual mode, it is important to anticipate a drop in outdoor temperature and reduce the setting accordingly to avoid excessive condensation. For example, with an outdoor temperature of 20°F, the correct setting will be 35% RH. Recommended settings for Manual mode can be found in your unit’s owner manual. Connection of the humidistat with ecobee with the c wire converter. How is this done as if wired using wire diagram for both, it blows out the fuse when hum stat is energized ??? !!!

I have a 350 model with a manual control. I have boiler heat but would like to update the humidifier control with an automatic model that reads outdoor temperature. Do you have a control for this application? It can be digital or a dial control.

We'd like to recommend one of our thermostats instead for this. The Aprilaire Model 8620 Thermostat would be our simplest option that can do what you're asking. My control makes a clicking sound while the blower is activated. It's not the solenoid, it's coming from the control unit itself. Goes away when I turn the knob to TEST and manually test the solenoid. Any tips on what I might be dealing with?

I'm confused about the two ducts, that round opening and humidifier unit. My system looks nothing like that. It would be more helpful to first show a typical furnace installation and related ducts.

My humidifier stopped working. Water to the unit, power to the Model 60, no low voltage signal out to the solenoid. I discovered the head is missing off the outside sensor. Can this unit be utilized with no outdoor sensor until the sensor can be replaced?
