I know you arent happy with the project or the complexity of the system but it makes sense the way you did it and it is providing excellent content. I have done plenty of fishing (not the fun kind) and i knew that wire pull was going to be a awful task. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

To be honest, I love the systems you installed. You did an excellent job. I agree that you found the perfect balance by programming the systems to trigger a supervisory instead of a full alarm. Another project well done. Looking forward to the next one.

I’m certainly glad that the college I went to between 2016 and 2018 had the fire alarms set up properly with the interconnections (I’m still not sure why the 5+ systems were interconnected, as from what I saw, the other panels would only beep and display “FIRE” and “Fire Link Active” (these were lights on the panel that lit up with the actual words, and yes, the panel was just inside the entrance in each building, I don’t remember what was displayed on the screen on the panel when one of the other panels went into alarm))

You have done a great job with the system, i understand what you mean about the complexity, things can be a pain, also in your opinion do you find it easier to program things into the notifier panel than the firelite since the notifier panel has a built in keyboard?
@nics-systems-electric
@nics-systems-electric 11 ай бұрын
Thank you. As far as notifier verse firelite the keypad is much easier for labelling but that's about it other than that they are pretty much mostly the same however I do feel like the interface on firelite is laid out a bit easier and things interact more as you would expect if you weren't knowledgable on it if that makes sense. I find the screen shape on notifier makes it a little more odd how things have to be displayed sometimes.

For those going to say that he should redo the systems because he deals with problems adding things like he even said in the video. I honestly think he would have a bigger problem and a bigger headache tearing down and redoing either system vs going through these small issues of adding devices to either system. That is my theory!

Great video, I look forward to see what those extra wires are going to be for. Also, your explanation at the beginning on how much of a PITA setting both modules to trigger an alarm instead of just supervisory reminded me of how much of a pain it was to get my Simplex 4207 and FCI FC-2224 to work together and not to worry about needing to reset both systems. I ended up using the smoke detector power on the FC-2224 to power a relay that would be wired to the 4207’s remote reset contacts. Obviously terrible for life safety systems, but fine for hobby systems. Anyways, sorry for rambling

You should put more boards down in the attic space and/or have a board cut to slide across the top of the joists over the insulation, so you don't have to lay in it.

Hey, definitely not they aren't legally listed in Canada and even if they were they're not very good, that would be a huge downgrade from real fire alarm systems my systems are not hard to work on at all it's only the amount of additions that make the garage system more complicated but that has absolutely nothing to do with the panel and whatever you're using does not make a difference

The video about the thing that texts you when the garage alarm goes off was one of the first videos of yours I watched. Now that there's a supervisory link will it also text you if the house goes into alarm? Based solely on this video I'd think no but assuming the first relay in the Fire-Lite is also programmable I think you could make it work.

Nice. So let me get this~ Relay module connects to Monitor module and when relay kicks in, it activates the Monitor module, and then goes into Supv? And vise versa. Also, how do the Monitor module(s) reset them selfs? Arent they normally latchinbg? or is it because its programmed as a Supv. Thanks, and great video!
