Your video is the best and simplest explanation of how to set up a speed-light and transmitter so far, for CANON and YOUNGNUO. Thank you!

I had a hard time connecting my speedlight to my speedlight transmitter, I have the Canon 430EX III-RT speedlight and the ST-E3-RT speedlight transmitter, and this tutorial worked for my set up, I just had to convert for my flash.Thank you!

Thanks.. very informative. Can exposure compensation be adjusted from the camera menu or is it adjusted from the transmitter.. also if I had multiple speedlight can compensation be adjusted independently. Say if I wanted flash 1 to be brighter than flash 2 or Visa versa.. thanks

Thanks for the video! I've got the flash and trigger linked up, but the flash won't fire with trigger on the hot shoe when I press the shutter button. Do I need to change a setting on the camera? I am using a Canon 6D Mark ii.

Hi, thanks a lot for your video which helped me but what about the focal length please ? When my Canon 600EX is on my Canon caméra, the focal length is moving on the flah the same as on my lense but with the STE3RT, il doesn't follow the focal length lense moves . Is it normal ?
@photographermugen Жыл бұрын
Yes, you have your flash focal mode set to auto. You need to change it to manual. When you turn your speed light on, press the first button on the top left (under the "Zm/C.Fn" tab), then turn the dial clockwise until you cycle through all of the focal ranges to manual ("M"). On the screen where it displays the number your flash is zoomed to, to the left of that it should say "zoom" and beside that there should be a "A" (auto) or an "M" (manual). Hope this helps, and wasn't too complicated.

@@photographermugen ok think I understand. Does it mean that I will always have to set the focal manualy ? If yes, shall I set it the same than the lens focal ?

how good is the ST-E3-RT (ver. 2) triggers now? I've heard people saying that it disconnects from your speedlights randomly and the only other way to link them back is to turn of the trigger and speedlights and back on. Is that the case with them still now if i bought one or is that issue fixed?

Why do you need a transmitter for Canon ex RT mk 2 600 when you can use a slave for more flash?
@photographermugen6 ай бұрын
@@kinsersprint11 (a)To change the direction of the source of light. (b)Using the on camera flash would run your battery down faster. Even if you have multiple batteries, over time, it will only become a hassle to keep all of them charged, to change them out during shoots, and to tote them around. (c)The optical sensor for the slave may not be visible at times. Though direct line of sight may not be necessary, a good degree is. (d)And to that note versatility and mobility. There are plenty more reasons, but those are the main ones.

I have one Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT and one off camera flash Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT. I want to buy 2 off camera flashes Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II Speedlite Flash Light. I want to know whether Canon Transmitter will communicate with all three off camera flashes(one canon and two Yongnuo) through Radio Signal. Could you please help me. Thanks

hey ! great video thanks man .... question for you ... have you ever experienced Link connectivity issues where everything seems to be set up correctly but the link light on the flash goes from green to red and will not fire unless you turn the flash off and back on ? I'm having this issue with a Phottix transmitter that I'm using with a Canon 600 ex-rt ii flash and I have no idea how to get it to stop doing that

I have them set up fine, but am having issues where they unsync all the sudden. I have to turn the trigger and/or the flashes on and off real quick to get them to sync again? Any experience with this or ideas on how they are disconnecting? Do they disconnect if I change modes or something? I sometimes flip from ETTL to Manual to Multi control sometimes while they are synced.

🤔 How is the signal strength of the channel you're using when this happens? There's a "channel signal strength" test that you can perform that'll show you how strong the connection it will be. Keep in mind that a strong channel, let's say ch.3 (while you're in an outdoor location), might not be as strong in an different environment (indoor close space). Different levels of interference very from place to place, check your channel signal strength, I suggest.🙏🙏
@natestain71032 жыл бұрын
@@photographermugen Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I will definitely give it a shot. I usually leave them in Channel 1 and set their ID's to something weird, but I will try a different channel and check the signal strength! Thanks again for your help!!

Hi! Is there any way to use the st-e3-rt (at the same time) while using a flash on the hot shoe of camara? Or if I use the St-e3 is impossible to use a on camera flash? Thanks in advance!

Rodolfo Vanmarcke it's not possible, to my knowledge, it's either one or the other.
