Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT: The Menu System

I'm getting a lot out of this. What good is a Speedlite if you don't know how to operate it. The manual gives points and features, but this video is clear instruction and insight to those features and how to use them... Thanks Canon and thanks Syl for the great presentation.

I have the 600EXII-RT. I also have an external battery pack to try and get more flash life. Is there anything I need to set on my flash once I connect my battery pack to it so that the flash uses the battery pack as its power source?

Hi! If you're using Compact Battery Pack CP-E4N, it will come with its own instructions on how to install it in your Speedlite 600EX II-RT along with any other steps you might need to take. Hope this helps!

Good tutorial, but one has to ask the question, why is the menu hard to read, especially for those of us who use reading glasses? the icon for high speed for example, it's tiny.

Hi Amit. There are a number of aspects of sync covered in this video. If you are asking about a “sync port” (what the manual calls the PC Terminal) on the Speedlite 600EX II RT, it can allow you to trigger the speedlite when it is off the camera but connected by a commercially available sync cord. Canon USA First THANK YOU for reply.I been watching many videos,i can't figure it out.Every time When i press the button Function 1 (Zm/C.Fn) one time, display WIDE PANEL.Every time When i turn on the flash i see ETTL M Zoom 14mm.it is always Highlight M and does not change I just buy the flash month ago.(600EXII-RT).My Camera canon 80D. and keep try but it is not work.Thank you.

Since when I am in HSS mode and my shutter speed becomes 1/250 second or slower, the flash will automatically change to standard sync and if my shutter speed becomes faster than 1/250 second the sync switches automatically to HSS, QUESTION: why did they just not set up the camera/flash at HSS which will work in both circumstances: faster than 1/250 second = HSS and 1/250 second or slower = standard sync

Buy it!!!! ETTL is awesome - and if you don’t like default you can still modify the flash +/- exposure in 1/3rds

Canon & Canon Guru Flash Photographers, here is a question to you all. How to do setup for wireless 2.4GHz radio in Ext.M in Master and Slave?

Canon USA, In radio mode, it will not allow to get into "Ext.M". This will not work on ST-E3-RT, 600EX-RT & 600EX II-RT, why? 800-OK-CANON, called and they were lost, but one said it CAN'T Be Done.

CanonUSA, with pressing the Linked Shooting Button (p#6 of ST-E3-RT) I was able to get into ETTL, M, MULTI, Gr under Radio transmission wireless shooting (p#8 of ST-E3-RT). And on page 11 of 600EX II-RT, press the "Wireless" (Z, above MODE) will not allow to go into wireless 2.4GHz radio transmission in "Ext.M". My staff and I have no problem getting in ETTL, M, MULTI And Gr for radio. Your help would be greatly be appreciated for the solutions.
