I love minimalism. People just need to distinguish between wants and needs. We actually need relatively little but want way too much.

It's far cooler to live below your means and have disposal cash, than live beyond your means and be broke. I learnt this relatively late in life, from which point my experience of day to day life improved dramatically. Great message.

Totally...living minimal but not being "broke" is the way to go. You feel like so much more is possible and in control of happiness. Easier to live more intentional.

Whenever I see videos speaking about money. I always wish people knew what I knew about money and how it’s not so difficult to hit your financial target if you know the right steps to take. Honestly, I see Not making upto a million before retirement as an unfulfilled retirement. I’m 54 and my wife is 50 . We are both retired with over $3million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on the FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early. Even till now, we earn weekly.

I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have,making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.

I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I don't normally comment on videos, but this word should be included. she is really cool.

" When I'm not grateful, my wanting is a bottomless pit." So so well said Connie. Wow.... this has spoken to me BIG TIME! I am so glad I saw this video during my break at work. I was transported from the busyness of clients and emails, to the peace and calm of this video, appreciating the breathtaking nature, the Klezmer music (!) and your ever reassuring and authentic voice, explaining to us how to simplify our lives...and better ourselves. This is exactly what I needed to receive today. Thank you Connie. I love your videos and truly appreciate your insights and admire how you have transformed your life. I finally have come to the realization that I can change and create a better and happier life for myself. I am grateful 🙏❤

I know that there are lots of people who could live more like this and don’t but I hope you appreciate that sometimes a person does not have the option of staying at home or working part time which is really what it takes to have the time to do everything from scratch. Some people have to work 2 low paying jobs and that’s just reality. I’m very grateful that I could work part time when my kids were young and it was a decision we made to have less stuff but more time to do all these things. The world is a little different today snd I see that my grown kids have to struggle more to achieve the same goals.

So true. This lady seems to have quite a lot. No disrespect. But millions are just hope to have the fraction what she have ( where she lives). And even if you have a little, some cannot afford to keep it up. Or even put enough on the table every day. The needs and wishes of each individual and family is probably very very different… Depending on how / where do you live, what do you do, how many people are under your care and so many more… etc. Some thoughts are great in this post, but unfortunately it cannot be simply attached to anyone. We can take away some… Or be critical… These thoughts can be seeds to find your own way and solutions. And create your journey and make your life better… even if it is just one tiny step at a time. 🫶

Very well put video. These principals are already in the Bible written 1000s yers ago. But the benefits are still practical and very beneficial. If everyone would practice it….. being content, not being greedy, be happy with nature and spiritual things, count your blessings, and be happy in giving not receiving. It’s very easy and gives a lot of joy 😅

My daughter sweetly led me into minimal living when I was widowed, and downsized to a 4 room cottage from a large family home and even larger garden. I took only what I need and love. E.g. My Yorkie.😅 I chose not to buy more clothes until I'd used the mountain I had. Many with labels still on. I love my new lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your video Connie. ❤

I too down sized when I was widowed. I have limited things in use and a stock of backups, when an item wears out or gets broken I replace it from my back up stock. 2 years later I am still using up the back stock of toiletries and cleaning materials, duplicate cloths and household linen.

7:42-7:49 This is the mindset I need to get into. I spend too much time shopping buying things I barely like, just when I get bored, sad or anxious. Being grateful is really challenging at time. But we have to remind ourselves everyday . “I have enough” and “I have everything I need”
@tashamclean
@tashamclean Жыл бұрын
I have a friend that does this. No anxiety so not sure why she does it. I worry for her about hoarding. Buying things she doesn't need just because they are on sale. Wondering if something is missing in her life that she feels shopping will fill. Then later cannot even find her new things 🤷🏾‍♀️ because they are stashed somewhere. In actuality they are unuseful to her. I consider wanting vs needing everytime I purchase. Helps tremendously. Also find hobbies u like in your spare time. Also helps me not WANT as much.

Your channel is so helpful. I grew up in a very materialistic era and thought that's how you show that you're in control of your life, you're safe, you're good and no one needs to worry about you but I learned after years of excess and having to get rid of all of my things about 50 times over because I was forced to move. I didn't realize until this video that comfortable loving and materialism is a massive distraction away from what's seriously important. I could never seem to get to what's important. Now I see why. I love my electrical appliances, smoothies, air fryer, microwave, toaster oven, deep freeze, and blenders, seed grinders, sewing machine, and I use them all of the time I paint flower pots, and rocks, I propagate plants for gifts in painted pots.I just made 2 birdbaths out of scraps this week.They are surrounded by flowers. The butterflies get drinks too. I am 73, have many health restrictions, but my mind is of a 20 year old.. I think of neat stuff to do. Raises my self esteem! My garden is beautiful right now. In a simple house in an island in asia, my home is unplastered wall, yet still house with proper bed and nice linen. I dont have dining table, we sit on floor while eating but our food is proper ones, at least half of it is organic. We do have one table at home made of previous used door. I dont squeeze food for cheap one but we cook home daily. We eat outside only when we r on travel, a day travel for example.., etc

I really love how you told this story, so beautiful, and I love camping too! "Living below your means" is not something I understood in my 20s, now at 30 with a 2 year old that is my goal by the end of the year. Love your content!

I've lived in a huge home once. Empty voids, not cosy and lots to clean. I prefer my smaller townhome anyday.

I lost everything in 2008 . Walked away from the corporate world and live on a yacht with my dog . Even though I experience adversity my life is better on a daily basis. I man who knows the price of everything knows the value of nothing ( Oscar Wilde) you are a beautiful intelligent woman and have wonderful taste
