For added security, may i suggest a tailgate lock. I bought one for my 1st gen tacoma from amazon for about $40 bucks. It installs and attach right onto your tailgate handle

Yeah man its great to have. That way no random person can just open my tail gate. It takes maybe about 20 mins to install bro
