boxing is passed on physics lmao, the techniques are designed they way they are for a reason lmao, that bullshit is not going to work on a boxing, he would get hit with a leaping left hook doing that dumb shit lmao
@kilotw14466 жыл бұрын
Ron Romano only surprises you when you're not anticipating it. Mayweather isn't dumb lbs and it works both ways since Conor will be a hybrid in the boxing ring. Like everyone says it's different when you get in there with Mayweather because he also doesn't give a traditional boxing look to figure him out, he stays switching throughout the fight, just not as obvious as everyone else who does it. Far more calm and smooth when he switches pace 😏
@Causewisdom6 жыл бұрын
Ron Romano Think of Andre Ward vs Brand. That was a awkward dude, however Ward was a master adapter and beat his head in. Floyd will be pot shooting, counter punching, body shots, inside drowning techniques, veteran techniques, and just all out classing Connor. I got boxing skills too, plus i train with awkward fighters. In the beginning it takes time to see points were adjustments will be necessary. For example Ward exploited inconsistencies in Brand after the 4th round. It really depends with what Floyd want to do,. In worst scenarios i see a fighter trying out smart a boxer. In this video Conor is not awkward enough. He is trying to display how big his balls are, which can be detrimental to his spirit.

I feel this fight will look similar to Naseem vs Barrera... An awkward unorthodox fighter in Conor, being timed and stung with a lot of clean shots by the more textbook boxer/counter puncher which is Floyd. Also anyone who's watched a Conor fight knows he is a non stop worker constant movement heavy handed long combinations that take a lot of gas. He'll need to control the distance so he can work with that long range straight left without over telegraphing It. Inside the pocket he really needs to keep Floyd busy make it a rough and rowdy fight if Floyd gets too close or bullied to the ropes (very Maidana like crowding style is what he needs to present Floyd with) use some of that MMA clinch knowledge to get the upper hand because Floyd likes to smother and clinch up if he gets cornered. It'll be interesting to see how Conor sets the pace. His best bet I feel is EARLY on try to bait Floyd's favorite pull counter with some long distance jabs and then counter Floyd when he pulls back and fires that straight right or the right uppercut, Mosley did it as well as Maidana and it seemed pretty effective. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of right hand body work from Floyd which are pretty vital against the southpaws, and if he's going to plan a KO then getting Conor to keep his hands, lower than usual, will be super beneficial. Conor has great vision, a very no flinch style and that will be extremely useful against a slick guy like Floyd. Not trying to sound like I've been in the ring with either of these guys but I can see where the holes are and Conor has a lot more than Floyd in a boxing ring. However I feel as a fighter like Conor who is quite confident and willing to learn and has the sight to adapt, those holes can be easily filled through drilling and recognizing the opportunities when presented. While the few holes Floyd has shown have been present for over 20 years now and when he isn't completely dismantling his opponent and takes things to cruise control and becomes comfortable, those holes can become quite clear. All together this is a fight people. SHOULD it be a one sided boxing match? absolutely, WILL it be? honestly its up to Floyd.
@davidwaldermar57226 жыл бұрын
Looks awkward , would be tricky, but floyd is incredible, also he looks funny when switching to throw those body shots at the end, u can't switch like that at pace for 12 rounds!

The footwork is amazing the headmovement not enough. He neads to move that head like a Mike tyson and bend that body more for when he is on the inside or coming in and incorporate that with the footwork to comfortably go in and out of range. His fine going back its coming in is where he will have problems . Otherwise Floyd will pick him off his too accurate but the footwork is great.
@dylanbrown67526 жыл бұрын
Here's my two cents on this. Not that it matters. Conor boxed before he started doing mma for a good majority of his life which means he has the skills (for the most part). Now not only is he mixing boxing skill with his movement training it will be very interesting on how he will move inside the ring. Because He can be both not only offensive but defensive as well and is very good at both. Floyd is very good at what he does and how he fights. No doubt about that. He bounces in and out of the pocket when he needs to. Times his counter punches perfectly. Tires his opponent out with his ridiculous cardio. It'll be interesting to see if Floyd can read Conors movement as well as he does with his other opponents. Now the match really could go either way so I'm not going to call it because it would be foolish to do. If Conor goes out swingin right off the bat he will get the points he needs to stay ahead for awhile until he tires himself out and floyd comes in with his counter punches or takes the offensive which would make for a really exciting fight, but if Conor takes a more defensive approach then it will be a boring fight in the beginning and they will both have to step it up in the later rounds because they are both showmen. So we shall see later today how it goes.

I think the majority of people can't see how advanced the footwork he's doing is. he's smart for not trying to "catch up" to floyd's skill level but search for an evolution around it when that really is the only possible way he can win

dude I'm like 30 haha. Well CHIEF, I'm saying he can't use the traditional methods. i agree with the logic in training under manny, but he can't "CATCH UP" in short time. It's impossible. He could train with manny every day and still won't be even close to able to survive against floyd. His ONLY shot is to find some new level or way around Floyd's game that the world hasn't seen. I'm not saying he will, but we're seeing something we haven't before, so he's either going to tank or surprise us all. And from the MMA community, Im excited cause he only has to do well, not even win, and MMA and boxing will begin to merge. And mma will continue to grow due to the absorption of boxing's talent

He's very unrefined with many of his motions , but seems to think that he is far more advanced than he actually is. But confidence , is a major strength of his. Is he over confident ?
