You are very wrong in what you say. There comes a time when it is the duty of people to stand up be strong even give their lives for the protection and the good of millions of other downtrodden people. God would understand and I am sure that person would be later called a saint. Can you imagine how well the world would be if someone had stopped Hitler in the very early days

Here after watching the movie with Cate Blanchett. I think there is a fine line between bravery and foolishness. Yes i understand she wanted to bring accountability to the drug problem but the drugs are still here and she isn't. Why leave your family like that?

funny how no-one says that about murdered men.

@@emma1381 Oh my here is the feminist. No men wouldn't have been so stupid to play their lives like that. It has nothing to do with her being a woman or a man. She had a family, she was a well respected journalist and she dabbled in the underworld and was warned multiple times to stay away, and she kept insisting on fighting the problem. Have the drugs left Ireland or anywhere else? no they haven't. She managed to make people aware that indeed there was a huge problem. Ireland is not better off now than before Veronica Guerin(RIP) first exposed the issue.

She was brave enough to take the risk on behalf of Irish people against murdering, drug dealing low lifes. Her work and life changed the criminal justice system forever and kick started the state's fight against these thugs. Thanks to her work criminals are now paying the price for their heinous acts. She will live as a shining example of what we should all aspire to be in a civilized society. May she rest in peace.

@@jphone2022 And women can also murder their unborn and get called brave for that too. And if you smoke some herbs for pain relief or depression you get labelled a criminal, but you can drink alcohol all day without a problem. Sometimes I'm not sure who the criminals are and who the good guys are.
