Great round! I know you were a little disappointed with the last three holes, but you effortlessly avoided the troublesome rollbacks that normally eat my lunch on several of the front nine greens that are guarded by side bunkers. I call 'em sand magnets! You were able to recover well from the few minor mishap shots and even save par on those holes. Awesome... Boss status alert! I've played it more times than I can count and only have been able to shoot an 85 as my best score and that was from the shorter Blue Tees at 6,212 yards with 6 iron and down. Great job. Thanks for playing it. I can't wait to give it another go myself! 👍

I have a similar setup outside. Started with a 5x4 mat and later added the CCE strip like you have. I shifted everything left a bit and have my R10 sighted on the line between the two. Hit tee shots and fairway woods off the big mat, and irons off the small mat. Have it all framed on three sides with wood to minimize movement of the stance mat, but the small mat has room to shift forward with the hit. Seems to have helped the joints for me having two mats vs. one.

Appreciate the comment! Sounds like you have a great set up. I debated a wood frame but I wanted the mat flush with the ground and the 4 bricks in each corner hold every thing in place really well. Curious if you've brainstormed any ideas on how to minimize/eliminate the movement of the hitting strip. I may end up cutting out a section for the CCE sooner than later and want a seamless fit that doesn't move. Thinking possible velcro strips?

@@HoselRocketGolf The wood frame is just deck boards on edge set into the ground. The mats are not attached to the wood, just framed by it. I think I like the CCE strip being able to move. I was getting a lot of skip on the big mat making bad shots look good. Now if I hit mat first the mat takes away some of the power as it grabs the club a bit and slows it down. Try a few shots with your CCE just sitting beside your new mat, free to move, and see what you think.

@@BillTurns I hear ya. If you sort my videos from oldest to newest, I actually had my CCE on the ground before any of the mulch. I did enjoy the extra give but got tired of having to re-adjust it every shot. Since I've had the CCE, I bring it inside after every use. If I cut out a section of the 4x5, I'll just leave it outside and would like to secure it into the mat rather permanently. Been spitballing ideas with different types of glue, velcro, zip ties, and double sided tape. I envy those with concrete or a floor below the mat to secure the strip lol

@@HoselRocketGolf Hadn't noticed your CCE moving before, kind of wondered what kept it in place... I have fake turf leading to my net so my CCE is framed by the turf in front, stance mat left and wood to the right. It only has a few inches to move and only forward. A quick tap with the heel of the club and it's back in place for the next shot. I started my setup towards the end of last year Just got the CCE about 2 months or so ago after hearing you talk about how well yours has held up.

@HoselRocketGolf Definitely a cheaper Amazon mat. I can't bring myself to pay almost $ 1000 for a mat that just sits outside.
