Looks fantastic! Painted miniatures and rules adjustment. I look forward to helping play test.

Nice touch to the game! I remember as a young teen getting this game and playing countless games with my brother and friends. Still have my original game plus another off eBay in near mint condition except the box. Good stuff!

Im about to put out a second part to the video with my new rule book, reference card and battle board. The goal is to make them all downloadable.

Great video! After I watched your preview for this video I looked up the OOB rules and surmised you would make an A&A rules hybrid! I really dig these rules. Have you thought about any additional units? When I heard "Archers!" during the intro I hoped you added archers! With play testing you could add some interesting units. I'm digging the War Elephants, although I think it would be more realistic to cap the total number of War Elephants available rather than cap how many a Caesar can own, this better reflects supply and demand and could even lead to an interesting bidding scenario. An "Auction Round" where you can buy/sell/trade units of limited availability obtained from the conquest of regions where they originate from would accurately reflect the commerce of the time. You might prefer to sell to a current "Ally", but your potential "Foe" is offering you a lot more money... I dig the assassin unit! It reminds me of the "War of Assassins" in DUNE (the books, not the movie) and while I agree with No Limit that the rules might be too harsh on Caesars I think it should also include assassinating Generals. I think if you required the piece to be in the same territory as a Caesar or General in order to assassinate or defend him it would be fair. Looking forward to watching you play test this! Cheers!🍻

Great notes, sir! I considered adding Generals as potential targets for the Assassins as well. Also, the idea of having to build a network before an Assassination attempt could take place. Even other things they could do like sabotage units or robb treasuries. We'll see how these rules play out - thank you for the notes and additional ideas...

Interesting ideas, I don't have this version just the later one by Eagle Games. The latter does come with a Version II rule set, which in my opinion is much better than the original set, which also comes with the game. I shall watch your progress with interest. Love the elephant and assassin concept.

This game needed new rules, I absolutely hated the oob version style which is why I sold it away! In the past my brother and I house ruled this game in the same fashion of SHOGUN and even had War Elephants pieces from a RISK variant game, but we soon tired of it and continued playing A&A/SHOGUN! Your house rules look promising and I hope other players get into it, although not me because I already sold my copy and can't spare the money for another one- otherwise I would've tried your customized way, but I think your assassin rules might be a bit too harsh though!👍

@@nolimit7959, I think the assassin rules would work really well if you required the assassin to be in the same territory in order to assassinate or defend. I also think assassins should also be allowed to assassinate or defend Generals as well. And since each Caesar has 6 Generals I think after you defeat a Caesar you should roll a 6 sided dice. Whatever you roll (minus the number of dead Generals that Caesar has) is the number Generals that go over to your side. It's too bad you sold your board, I think this would be a fun game for the KZbin Wars! I looked up the cost of the game (YEESH!) but I might get it if this takes off and if I do I will copy the map at work and send it to you. I'm glad Generalfund is doing this! Cheers!🍻

@@warpartyattheoutpost4987 Personally I would just hate the game to end this way if my Caesar was the one assassinated(especially if I was dominating the war), I think it would be better if the assassins would work like the Ninja in the game SHOGUN!!!

Have you played the new version from Eagle Games? Any good?

I have not, but I believe No Limit is familiar with it...
