Ron Paul and others of their ilk just whip ignorant people up into a lathering foam of stupid. It's much like a cult building or some other religious formation nonsense. No critical thought, just start spewing the same lines... its easy. And man does it make you emotionally charged. Lots of energy. Just none going to critical thought.

Or gay marriage. They think just because Ron Paul calls for the legalization of weed and would allow gay marriages negates all the other shitty bullshit he subscribes too. Like when the Loonitarian rag 'Reason' magazine had their puff piece on the Koch brothers and how great they were for backing gay marriage and how Democrats shouldn't fear their anti-labor shit machine.

It's desparation and aversion to reality orienting because it's extremely scary for some people to realize virtually no one in power is on your side. They use us against each other, bleed us even though a lot of us are turnips and love all this destructive rhetoric which deactivates logic and only appeals to emotion that allows a large number of us to be lead of a cliff like sheep. Global society is more and more shaped as a rat race where most chase survival daily, being hit with small injuries that profit few and we don't have time to stop anything or fix it we just want a quick fix but all we get are dirty bandaids.

To put it aside for safekeeping. Most people are not CPA's its the same principle as a savings account. Its a safe-guard against irresponsible money management. Even the best of us are capable of committing a financial blunder or miscalculation from time to time. Its also so that lenders cannot go in and just arbitrarily take your savings although thanks to the one party system we currently have our government is eating away at these restrictions. I can't touch my social security and I am fine with that. If you want a system where there is no safety net, and you are basically your own CPA then move to Sudan or a place where there truly is no functioning safety net or government and you pretty much keep what you can take.

The local and state governments. You might bother to learn about Block Grants. You are arguing about things you know nothing about.

I live in AZ, homeless people are a norm in every city you pass unless it's Scottsdale. Idk if that's big anywhere else but the amount of people I pass by that are either homeless, on drugs (meth being a main choice), or both. We are also one of the worse states when it comes to public education so I don't see how conservatism is doing great in AZ. Most of these problems cited as being because of “liberal politicians” in cities are extremely common traits of cities no matter who runs them. It is just what happens when you cram such huge numbers of people into such a small place; crime goes up, the concentration of homeless and poor people goes up, etc. That they think this is just a result of “dah leebrulz” shows their immense ignorance.

whyamimrpink78 You know, that's not a bad idea. We can let the southern racist states, who depend on federal aid to give welfare to their residents, fend for themselves. And those states who are net producers and give more to the federal government than they receive (such as California, New York, etc.) can save our money for ourselves and let the southern states rot. All those conservative racists will die out in no time (although I will feel bad for the people in those states who are not conservative and racist.) Tell me, how did our interstate freeway system come about? Hint: it wasn't the states that pushed for a completely national road system. If Reagan hadn't declared the federal government shouldn't be, "...fixing potholes" we might have a national high speed rail system by now. This idea you have that federal government can never do anything good in just plain wrong. Do we have issues that need reform, such as Congress and the lobbying system, yes. But that doesn't mean that we should throw out the Constitution (which is what anti-government people want even though they may say they are pro-Constitution; they don't realize the Constitution IS our federal government.)

John Parker National Defense is one of the few responsibilities of the Federal Government that is actually authorized by the Constitution. However your people want to make it a camouflage welfare system and social experiment. Nationalizing health care does not make it better by any measurable standard. Every example of socialized medicine in America is terrible and by that I mean free inner city hospitals, military and VA hospitals, Reservation Health programs and of course the prison health systems. Forcing well people to pay for sick people does not make health care affordable or better. I dare even one communist bitch on this site to show me an increase in health care providers and medical innovation due to Obamacare, which for a short time was Hillarycare right after its origin as Kaisercare. That's right, numbnuts. Kaiser wrote the base document so that the government would force people to buy more of their worthless products in exchange for helping with campaign donations and their aspirations of a United Nations run world. Afterall, we're just citizens of the world.

This video remided me of somthing I saw something recently related to the hypocrisy of so-called entitlement programs. A young(ish) white woman in a grocery store was paying for her order with WIC and had some slight issues since certain flavors of baby food she wanted to get, even though supposedly only the brand was specified on the coupon. Another lady, white, although much older (in her early forties by my guess) behind her was visibly impatient and overly dramatizing it as well. After the WIC customer left, she made several comments about hating those on WIC caling them leeches, freeloaders, etc. Then she turns around and pays for her purchase with food stamps...

You need TAXES to ensure a functioning government and we need social security to make sure seniors have a decent quality of life, or at the very least a stop gap measure to prevent a mass increase in the homeless population for that demographic. Social Security is not a lot of money anyway and it mainly acts as a stop gap against starvation, and provides some leverage when trying to make payments on bills, rent , etc. This idiot would have seniors living in poverty and eating cat food like what happened by and large before the Great Depression. And he is arguing against his own interest.

+whyamimrpink78 Supply Side economics caused the Depression, not mixed socialist policies like SS. People like this should be able to opt out of taxes like they want then when they need government services ie. Police, EMS, trash pickup, road services etc. They should be billed out of pocket for the true cost of what those services are. And good luck when you're old and over working age and or if you get a life threatening disease or unexpected disability, we see how the country was before social security, there's a reason why it was created in the first place. Have fun eating dog food because you don't have the income needed to survive at an elderly age smh. It doesn't pay to be shortsighted and this socially disconnected from other human beings. Some of us inn this country are borderline sociopaths and at the least selfish and self absorbed.

Detroit was destroyed because of greed but not the greed of Unions. "Moter City" was a big manufacturing city that moved their manufacturing to other countries, not because Unions got a good wage and working conditions for its employees but because they saw a chance to make massive profits in third world countries with slave wages. It's common sense to understand that with all the jobs going to other countries that the area is going to go down. The people that spread all this crap about unions being bad and the reasons for all this were the people most affected by them, the wealthy businessmen.

Name me one major city that is. Conservative's argument about cities is so stupid and myopic. 1) Of course there's more violence there because there's more people there living in close proximity. 2) Poverty is not limited to cities - there's plenty of it in rural areas and small towns 3) They harp on about detroit, but fail to recognize cities that are doing well 4) They ignore the fact that urban voilence, with the exception of 2020-2021, has trended down steadily since the 1980s, as people have gradually moved back to and improved inner city neighborhoods.

He DOES need health insurance. A young adult can get sick. At least 25% of Americans have no auto insurance. If I’m hit by an uninsured motorist, who has little or no money, and I’m injured, I will have to use my health insurance. I or my auto insurer could sue the uninsured motorist, but if he/she has little or no worth, it will do me no good.

I will never understand the average Americans view on socialised healthcare. I know Americans who moved to the UK and who have decided to stay here because healthcare is a right. This completely idiotic view of people that say, I'm 25 so I don't need healthcare. Anything can happen! You could get hit by a car, be diagnosed with cancer or have an emergency surgery. This attitude is extremely selfish and the Americans really come across as a selfish nation. I have been paying into my national insurance which works out to about 9% of my wages since I started work at 15. When I was made redundant a few years ago, I didn't have to worry about paying for the operation on my spine. When my partner had an emergency op to remove his appendix not only did he get top class treatment but again paying for it is not something we have to concern ourselves with. I am more than happy to pay 9% and the peace of mind is priceless.
