Black communities are over policed as well, that's a big part of it. There are way too many things that line up when you consider systemic racism, yet people still bend over backwards to pretend it's anything but racism. What about our justice system suggests it works well and fairly for all people? If you believe that, you haven't been paying attention. Class plays a major role in these problems as well, and when historically you relegate a "race" to the bottom of the class structure, you're going to get compounding factors working against those people. The thing about racism is its not about the bad ideas of a few individuals, it's about the outcomes of an entire system. A system built on slavery and racial subjugation doesn't just go away, it has to be ripped out entirely, and that has not happened in the US

@LED8165 күн бұрын
Serial killers have more to do with stalking and plotting to murder someone. Those also tend to be more torturous deaths where the people seem to get off on it. Mass shooters though I do believe are more likely to be black. Not saying school shooters, but in gun related crimes in general. I think 3 or more people and it counts as a mass shooting. I could be wrong there. But serial killers and mass shooters are considered very different. ETA: nvm. White people still have the upper hand in mass shootings as well. What I had read before was based on percentage and statistics according to groups in general and not population as a whole. So more white people are mass shooters but there are also a lot more white people in the US. You get what I’m saying.

This is a unique way to approach racism. It made me curious about the longer prison sentences for Black people. In America, people earning 50% less than the federal poverty level (FPL) are 15 times more likely to be charged with a felony. This is what I found: in 2023, the FPL for an individual was $14,580, and for a family of four, it was $30,000 a year. In 2023, 17.9% of Black people living in the U.S. were living below the poverty line, compared to 7.7% of White people. Multiple factors contribute to this statistic. I am not saying this makes it right by any means; I just think it was worth noting.

I won't use my wife real name but its along the lines of "(first name) Sim Suligan Sim Campos Cruz (then my last name)" They tend to have many names to show lineage or something along those lines. Needless to say good luck remembering full length names. Thankfully they still tend to shorten it down as they have adapted more western things. In my wife case she uses her first name, her moms last name, then my last name. Still, people cofuse the second name for a middle name.

Many years ago, in West Germany (that's how long ago) during a let yer hair down kind of party.. someone asked the wife of a work friend.. if she was black, white or what.. her answer was Or What. Back then, it wasn't offensive.. just nosy.

It used to mean nation though, and you still have books and such on the Irish race and the Jewish Race, when they'd be um.. Caucasian and Semites under the 'biological theory of human races'. For what he was saying about serials, he is technically correct in why he questioned it, but would likely still be wrong. In order to make the gang related crimes make more homogeneous sense on a graph during The War on Crime, the DOJ and the FBI, did what the WHO and the CDC did with Covid-19 deaths. So a lot of crimes that meet the FBI’s classification of serials like multiple B&E-H, get classified as gang related instead. Also this is not race specific thing, it’s anyone in a gang they did/do this with.
