I lost all respect for this channel when I seen they did a live stream with Wobby WIlling. Robert Willing is a simp who worships a 300lb+ online catfish who glorifies LGBTQIA+ over-representation in comic books and historically white characters being replaced with POCs. Graphics: Both sides have their own uniqueness. tie. Presentation: I agree that the presentation is better on SNES. Sound: Music speeding up for the boss fights does not give any edge. Sound effects seem to be missing in both. Tie. Gameplay: Points are worthless if they are not used for something in the game besides a high score. Having to double-tap to run or using a run button is nothing to debate about. Bonus levels can be nice IF YOU DON'T LOSE LIVES IN THEM! Using only 2-3 or so hats as a life meter is a joke compared to a life bar. No time limit is way better. No attack jumps suck. No powerups suck. The SNES version is much more difficult for the wrong reasons. Sega Wins. Sega Genesis wins for so much better gameplay. Flashback is next!

Stupendous episode guys. The opening alone was awesomely done, a lot of work put into it. I will say I do like how more colorful the SNES game looks, so I was a bit surprised to see Sega get the win after losing 2 categories. Personally I never played this game before, but I would check out one of them, particularly the Sega version, mostly for the improved gameplay. Oh boy, next episode...the 100th episode is gonna be "Flashback"! Never played that one either, but it does sound like a solid pick for such a milestone episode! 🤩

generally if you watched enough of their episodes, whoever wins "best gameplay" will generally sweep the entire thing...which makes sense, as great as a game looks and sounds if it doesn't play that well, it's probably not gonna be fun lol

@@AllardRT that is also true, but I think Best Gameplay is what results in some episodes becoming a David vs Golith scenario...where one console is dominating until they reach gameplay and suddenly it falls short because gameplay on the other console is alot better...normally we see one game dominate (like TMNT Tournament fighters) or its VERY close....or the games too identical to pick a winner (Mickey's Magical Circus) I do appreciate they at least try to pick a definitive winner even if it is not too obvious, and one thing I give them credit for is they sometimes pick on details I never would have considered myself lol

I feel like this is something that very little people know about this game, but If you plug in a second controller (on Snes, not sure about Sega) and hit a button you can enter what I assume is some kind of developer mode. It enters you into a flying state that you can beat most levels pretty easily by putting your body out of hit box range. I discovered this by grabbing the wrong controller as a child.

Very entertaining episode as per usual although i gotta respectfully disagree about the graphics. Those color palettes on the SNES gave me an eyesore, the background and foreground fighting to get our attention with ramped up saturation made it looked so colorful yet so flat, while the SEGA version have a MUCH more detailed background yet so much easier on the eyes because it was less vibrant compared to the foreground giving it more depth and contrast between the 2. And don't get me started about the animation, the enemies on SNES almost looked like a cardboard cutout, barely animated at all ...
