There's a 3rd reason, I was having caffeinated drinks and workouts daily and got this constant urge to pee. I felt an insatiable thirst and a need to pee every 40mins. Turns out I depleted my sodium levels, simply needed to add a pinch of salt to each meal and I was back to normal in 1-2 days. Hope it helps someone.

@Raghuvir N that is rough! Has citrus been any help to you since it blocks calcium from combining with oxalates for the formation of kidney stones. Though I suspect dehydration from constant urination could be the main culprit. Have your doctor's been able to figure out the issue of constant urination; diabetic, insulin resistance, too much sugar, kidney issues/infection. As for the prostate, lycopene in tomatoes is good for prostate health. Though cook down forms of tomato tomato sauce tomato paste are needed for an adequate dose. Though the high potassium can be tough on the kidneys if they are not functioning properly, or the adrenal glands are having issues. Hope you can find some relief from this torture.

@Raghuvir N I had to look up horseshoe kidney never knew that was a thing, sorry to hear that it's causing you problems. But great to hear you're able to improve your hb1ac. Maybe try drinking tea as it can have an insulin sensitive effect on the body the opposite of coffee. I found this out because of my own personal issues of insulin resistance possibly due to coffee to were I was waking up 4 to 5 times a night to urinate and urinating almost every hour throughout the day like my father. It was driving me nuts. At middle age this shouldn't be happening to me, then my brother took a break from coffee and I realized I (because of the pandemic) I haven't taken a break from coffee in almost 2 years which I typically do at least once a year. Which led me to researching the issue to figure it out and able to help my father. But I found switching from coffee to tea within three days I was only waking up twice a night and then within a week once a night and my daily urination returned to normal. After about a month of tea my body had no craving for it either so I quit caffeine all together at that point. This was at the beginning of this year, I do drink coffee again but only 1/2cup a few days a week. The whole thing was at the time I was only consuming one cup of coffee a day when my insulin resistance triggered leaving me to think it was more of a symptom of something else that I'm still working on figuring out. Wish you better health going forward.

I had spent years trying to figure this one out. Stop drinking carbonated sodas. Stop using antihistamines. Start drinking Aloe Vera gel. One Christmas, my friend bought me some Aloe Vera Gel. They said to use eight heaping tablespoons a night. The very first night that I used this, I didn't have to get up for the whole night where normally I was up six to ten times. The Aloe Vera Gel worked and worked fantastically. But it didn't stop the releasing problem. So, that's where I stopped the carbonated sodas and that fixed the swollen prostate problem.

Thanks doc! I’d just like to add another cause that you didn’t mention, and that is that it could be due to pelvic floor dysfunction. When the pelvic floor and connecting muscles are full of trigger points and very tense/tight, they do not let the urinary tract relax fully and can cause urgency even with an empty or nearly empty bladder. This was something that I found out I had years ago, and with the proper physio in those muscles and getting control of my anxiety, the urgency went away and my bladder was finally able to feel properly emptied. If you’re peeing and it feels like it’s stuck or "constipated", and you get urgency within minutes of finishing, this could be the problem you have. Mine still comes back occasionally when I am very stressed or anxious. I hope this helps someone out there!

I now dont get up in the night anymore... go figure... and not so urgent to pee in the day. If u have these problems coffee does not help, but I still drink it and its not so bad. Soooooo not sure if pumpkin seed oil and fasting is helping but I have noted improvements FOR SURE. Now to get onto saw palmetto and a few other herbs,, hardish to source in ukraine ,, not easy in europe either due to language. Hardish to get post into Ukraine as well. I am also fasting and eating a cracking diet, may need a bit more protein but high on best fats, sugar and starch under control. Gave up beer... good God... what happened!!! BUT, strangely.... woo woo, In Poland I could drink a litre of beer and not pee all night.. mmm strange I thought, but I suspect the HOPS and alcohol reduced anxiety and so assisted in some way. As a follower of yours for years and as a fluke, I don't know how I didn't see this one and it was by fluke this morning 6/1/2022, because as I have tried every type of workout, watch what I eat and when I eat (ie, not stressing how long I go without eating anymore). Can't remove the bloating and gained a lot of weight so due to an ectopic kidney and watching your videos trying to heal my self and my husbands weird HBP issues, we just started taking berberine and yesterday, we ordered Leviathan Tudca to help us. My husband tall and slender so far, from giving him 40k of vitamin d3, sleep apnea seems to be going away, but we don't have medical history for him to see what is going on and i can't find that test. I'm so glad you posted this and so glad I found it. going to add this this as well!

As you pointed out in a previous video dandelion leaves also increase the amount of urine produced. I've found that the roots also do this and they are good for the liver. As an aside, for people with tooth ache, it being so difficult to see a doctor at the moment, a small piece of silver, pure or sterling silver, in the mouth, near the tooth gets rid of the pain quickly and for as long as the silver is in there. It won't improve the tooth of course but there won't be any pain, so no pain killers are required.

I had this problem since I was 16. It was the prostrate getting too large. My father had it all his life as does my uncle. Fasting regularly seems to have fixed it. Or at least that was the only change I made in my lifestyle and the change from peeing 20 times an hour to maybe once or twice a day. The change happened quite fast. Though in my case, my bladder wasn't partly full. It was completely empty. In fact, a doctor was unable to find it on an ultrasound because of how small it was. The conclusion was that the prostrate was pushing on the nerve that detects bladder fullness.

@@XxButtNastyxX I only ate during a 8 hour interval each day and fasted completely on one of my days off. That seemed to fix it. I do also have inflammatory bowel disease and I am sure all that Pressure from there didn't help the problem either. The prostrate, like my bowels was not growing large but was actually inflamed. I guess the fasting helped my body detox or something because that problem went away fast. I still get IBD from time to time, especially in fall, but the bladder problem never returned.

There are a lot of variables that you don't mention there, hence a lot of possibilities. If you're drinking a lot of water at one time, it makes sense that your bladder is filling up quickly and frequently. However, if you are going frequently but not very much each time, you could be having issues such as he talked about. There's probably little point in guessing, and if you follow his suggestions and nothing happens or you have other symptoms, it would be best to see your doctor.

She told me to use basil seeds as we always did during Ramadan which is our fasting month, we break our fast with the date(fruit) a glass of milk mixed with Sprite, and basil seeds. One important reason for repeated urge to urinate for women is having a cystocele (even mild) where the neck of the bladder becomes affected and a pseudo sac holds drops of urine after urination, you get up walk, you feel need to go again. Must have felt it to understand the experience. Kegel exercise is only treatment at home for mild , can have transvaginal laser for mild & moderate. Talk to your OBGYN about repair methods. Also untreated cystocele cause repeated UTI Cystocele is often mistaken for low estrogen as a reason for repeated UTIs in post menopausal

I've had the constant urge to urinate for a few years. Have been checked and been told its not the prostate, rather a hypertrofic bladder neck. I tried keto for 6 weeks lost about 8kg, had saw palmetto, vitamins etc but still pee loads and still have constant urge to pee.

@lenorapalminteri1002 The bladder is not shaped like a balloon - round. Rather, it's elongated (like a trophy) and swollen at the 'neck'

Last week I started eating an ounce of baker's chocolate sweetened with erithrytol every day and I think it's working on my prostate. Even if it doesn't help, it's chocolate!

Together with lemons and tomatoes, chocolate is one of the foods that irritate the bladder the most.
