Brenda here. Your making progress. I am glad you will have a wood stove in the bathroom. That space heater all though fun and beautiful will not make a dent in heating that big space. Your a wise woman. Stay safe and good blessings to you both.

@@johnhone2521 Agree. I admire you for what you’re doing. It takes a strong woman to live up their alone. Respect. You’re going to make mistakes in your projects. That’s how we learn. I was hoping you’d measure the ceiling to make sure it was square. Nothing is ever square…good rule of thumb. It wasn’t and thats why you’re running into problems. Staggering would have been easier. If you ever see anyone selling used scaffolding…it may be wise to invest. Makes life easier. Inside and outside.

Yes it is. But it's strange that we can see the sun and moon simultaneously. I see them both all the time. During the daylight, especially when it is waxing to be full soon. Full Moon will be on 9/17/24. I walk daily in the mid morning and some afternoons and I see the moon clearly and the sun is up. If it is light on our side of the globe, the moon should be on the other side where it is dark.. for instance Down Under (Australia). How can I see both simultaneously.. if the moon is lighting up the night sky down under and we are in daylight? I've always wondered about that but as you said, it is a beautiful sight.

That was cool your visit to Chicken and Eagle. Those are two places I am fascinated with. When I get up to Alaska, those are places I want to go see I believe they’re off the Dawson Highway on the way to the to the Yukon. Another problem I have faced like you is with wood my first couple of years I got wood that was wet and not great, but it took time to find the right guy and now I have someone who lives a little far out, but he’s a sweetheart and delivers the most beautiful drive wood I’ve ever seen. All cut up and ready so it just takes time to find those good people. When you do, you are so grateful.

What a totally awesome way to relax from all the packing I am doing here at home. Thank you for sharing Fall with us. It’s still hot in the 80s here in Ohio. Are you keeping your mailbox open.? Need to know because I have to start over with your care package because of water damage from the upstairs neighbors running their central air conditioning. Yes once again stuff have been turned. I would reconsider switching to an electric heater. gas or oil will still work during power outage, and if you're not using the heater all the time the propane cost may not be that high. Just something to think about. I have nat gas central heat that is not usable during the yearly ice storms here in Arkansas, so the two standby gas wall heaters come in handy. Plus when I'm in the living room the dogs recognize the ignition sound and they all casually get up and "saunter" over to lay in front of it. You'll do what works for you. P.S. I miss your cooking.

Hello Alone, I live in Georgia and we have a nice Wood burning insert in the great room but I wanted something in the sunroom so I bought Duraflame Electric Stove it looks nice I can have the flame look without the heat if I chose, but what I want you to appreciate is I never feel warm with the electric heat. Your bath I am assuming is similar to my sunroom ware as it protrudes from the rest of the house and catches wind on three sides. Please consider another wood stove before putting electric heat in the bath.

It’s a good thing I don’t have to depend on myself for measuring the length of deck boards I needed. My son took me to the hardware place to buy decking boards.. he said mom are you sure about the size . Of course I said yes. We bring home the boards and the next day I have to tell him I should have measured again as I am short of materials. This wouldn’t be so bad but now you can be sure mom, make sure the measuring is right. So off to the store we go again. Good thing in my case I don’t have to travel miles and miles to get supplies. Keep up the good work of building.

Electricity is very expensive in Interior Alaska. A few winters ago I used an electric heater in one room of my house in Delta for one month and my electric bill more than doubled. Using electricity to heat even a small room is a costly decision.

Re: Sun. old video on KZbin where Slooh Astronomers were talking about the 2016 Transit of Mercury. 1 min 5 sec outtake of their discussion might be worth a listen. Video is called Slooh Astronomer Admits Second Sun in Live Broadcast of Mercury Transit. He says it in a matter-of-fact kind of way. I think many things can be seen in the rural Alaskan sky that might not be visible in the lower 48. You don't have city lights, etc. to obstruct. Anyway, just thought it was interesting. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your videos.

There's no reason why you should get wet wood I sold wood for quite a few years wouldn't sell anything that has not been down for less than three years always tarped off my wood doesn't take much to throw a tarp over top of a truck load a wood some days with it was raining while it was cutting firewood I would put the tarp over top of the truck throw the wood into the truck crawl in the back of the truck and stack it why took wet wood to people they would not buy it and I don't not blame them I tell people look at the load of wood before I unload it and I always got paid before I unloaded it I had one customer that didn't like my wooden one time because of three pieces of wood you wind and complained about three pieces of wood never delivered wood to him ever again I used to sell over 400 cords at winter And that's with just regular customers they keep them satisfied they'll keep ordering your wood and if I needed more customers I would only have to put one ad in the paper always had the same customers every year keep customers happy you keep them for years
