I have a 2017 Chevy express like what you moved out of. Same metal shelving system with slightly different drawer configuration. It's ok, but having moved it twice now from older vans I'm looking for ways to improve my system. I'm pretty organized by the use of tool cases, but I've looked into using some of the modern solutions like the systaniers or something else to allow more dense tool storage.

My devices even in plastic bins just bouncing around by themselves get scratched up I clean them up before using them but sometimes it's a noticeable ding or scratch. The only thing that worked was when they came in there own little box. Those days are over. Some how they need to stop bouncing around Banging into each other is enough to knock the screws out and scratch them up

u didnt get any flack for using an aluminum ladder? here electricians have to use fiberglass ones with rubber soles. also how do u haul an extension ladder?
@danutdlp8 жыл бұрын
I completely understand your point of view with aluminum versus fiberglass ladders. Here is the thing... I don't work on any high voltage power lines or on live circuits while on this ladder. I chose this ladder because it goes from a 6ft - 9ft A frame ladder and extends/converts to a 20ft extension ladder. I wanted to get away from roof racks and the downside of wind noise, less MPG and not being able to go through car washes.

@danutdlp5 жыл бұрын
I’ve used that ladder as an electrician for the last 13 years. It’s not like I’m using it anywhere near live power lines or working on live overhead services. I like to use this particular ladder because it has adjustable steps/legs and I can use it on stair cases. We install a lot of chandeliers that are located over stairs.

Do you think putting a plywood floor down in the back is a good idea? I just received my first work van and need to outfit it as I need (e2 journeyman, mostly residential now, and also becoming a generator tech) so I will have to have a generator tool setup for installs, oil changes and other services, and then house material for new construction and remodeling work.
