At 8:38, I used to build cabinets, we would use a nail gun to set the panels where theyre supised to go, then when you have all the structure framed up, drive the screws for strength. .

Good video. I think you should place some 4x8 foam board on top of your saw horses underneath the plywood. That way you’re not trying to hold your cut offs. They’re supported by the foam board and the best part is that you don’t have to worry about cutting through your horses.

I've seen that done. I really need to adopt that in my woodworking

1:50 When you are about 3/4 of the way through a long cut like that, pause and slide the sawhorses over so they are supporting both sides of the wood, then when you get to the end you don't have to hold it up because the sawhorses are already holding up both pieces.

I was thinking same. He is probably not familiar in cutting plywood. He was cutting very slow and marked with chalk which smears the board and is blown away easily.

If you're mostly using bins, why have a full backing on the shelves? Why not a lip in the back too. Seems like you could save some weight, prolly negligent though.
@dave_adamson
@dave_adamson Ай бұрын
It helps from stuff falling behind as I do put some parts in there not in bins like drop cloths. But also adds a lot of rigidity. But I'm sure no back would work well too
@yensabi

Nice but you should really fit a plywood bulkhead behind the seats to keep your van secure , also consider fitting some extra security locks on the load doors to provide the best secure van you can , I know it's not going to stop the most determined thieving scum out there but it will be a whole lot better than the factory fitted locks that are useless , good luck and keep the video's coming.......👍

Thank you for the suggestions! Luckily really haven't had any issues with that. our service areas tend to be in nice areas which is very fortunate for us. we store our vans in a locked yard at night. but doesn't mean we can't be too careful.
