New car prices now average nearly a whopping $50,000. Maybe that sticker shock has you thinking long and hard about a used car. But navigating the used car market brings its own challenges.

Don’t ever buy Stellantis garbage or anything from Mercedes.

Makes perfect sense 🎉! Spend $125 to $150 to pay for a trusted Car Repair Shop of your choice to closely examine the used vehicle you'd like to buy. And order an AUTO CHECK report to verify the history of the vehicle. 💰👏💪

Why buy a used car/truck for $50K. You can buy a reliable one for less than half or a third.

I am a shade tree mechanic and have owned over 50 cars from different makes and models. My most reliable cars the 2007 Toyota Matrix, 1997 Toyota Corolla and my 1986 Porsche 928S. The Porsche maintenance parts are expensive but if you're a DIY , they can last half a million miles.

Each car is different. Even a good used brand is reliable, depending on how that owner took care of that car, it doesn't matter if it was a reliable brand. Look for a turn in lease owned by an older couple and you'll probably be fine. No guarantee nevertheless.
