Great video lecky. Was in a contaianer vessel before, but reefer monitorings were assigned on deck crews..unless alarms and out of range temp were present. You are doing great videos. Safe sailing.

Very interesting. Do the reefers have back up power or just electric from the ship? And what power do they need is it 120 volt 60 hertz or 220 50 hertz or something different? Great Chanel thanks. I used to do fire alarm inspection on ships here in Canada.

They position in such a way thay they can be easily troubleshoot if needed. Bottom and second to the last tier.

They do, it’s linked to the satellite, but he has not access to that. Only the shipping company they monitor the place, time, temperature, pressures, etc of the container. Then most containers have a temperature recording device that is accessed by the receiver of the product when they cut the container door security seal.

Mainly it depends upon company to company...ETO is a rank which includes top 5 ranks...2E and ETO may b same as 2E is head of Mechanical department , ETO same as the electrical head.ETO directly reports CE....

It is the company procedure that ETO is under the supervision of the second engineer or the first engineer. At least to this company

@@leckyjake Wow, I don’t understand that. Especially, since we know more about the ship than they do!!!!! The first and second engineer should know how to do some of the ELECTRICAL WORK AND THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM!!!! ESPECIALLY THE KONGSBERG OR BRIDGE SYSTEMS.

I do not know about the standard that your company has but in Maersk Line they send the second engineers for electrical courses esp for RT FLEX FCM 20, MAN B&W control system and Marine High Voltage system.
