I just think it's incredible how you can paint all these models after they are fully assembled. I have to pain them in sub-assemblies since 2018, these poses are just impossible to paint any other way, and yet here you are, proving me wrong.
@Warhipster3 жыл бұрын
I think quite a few people find it strange how I paint fully assembled, but it’s just what I’m used to now. There are some things I leave in sub-assemblies but not often.

Just got this figure for my birthday as an act of humiliation. Literally I have no experience in painting Warhammer figures whatsoever, and just realized what (exciting) challenge stands in front of me. I barely satarted my scale modeling adventure (WW2 Armor) at the age of 38. Your video helped me a lot, mostly to understand what skills and approach I have to develop to be able to pull it off. I already see the differences between painting media, especially the ones I already know from armor modeling and seeing the ones you used in your work. I'm excited. Thank you for being a guide for me on this matter, I learned a lot and slowly lurking into other vids you have to learn more. Can you recommend some simple figures which could be my training ground to develop Warhammer figures painting skills?

Paints listed, if bought new, costs around two more Be'Lakors. Dark Master Approves this! 8-)

What do you think about using Black Legion instead of mixing Black Templar and Wyldwood? I was wondering since it is an heavy black contrast with some kind of brown and I feel like it should save the coat of Black Templar and Contrast Medium you applied later on the wings.

Loving the tutorial, so many blacks! This is definitely being added to the ole reference bank. Also interesting to see how you actually mix your paints, would you recommend a well palette instead of parchment paper? Are there any pros / cons relative to one another? Great work as always, thanks for posting x
@Warhipster3 жыл бұрын
Not for Contrast paints no. I recommend keeping water as far away from Contrast as possible as it does weird things to the paint in the thinning process.

I notice in a lot of your videos you use thinef down black templar a lot like you would use something like nuln oil. Is that for the sake of the video being contrast based or do you genuinely prefer it?
@Warhipster3 жыл бұрын
I genuinely prefer it - I find the Nuln Oil can sometimes leave a surface looking at little flatter than I’d like, whereas Black Templar adds that depth without ‘flattening’ the piece I’m painting. Hopefully that makes sense!
@casualtr4sh3 жыл бұрын
@@Warhipster makes perfect sense actually,I may have to try that out
