I used to listen to David Goggins a lot when I was going through hard times. Did his free workout on youtube to save money. Even applied for the airforce reserve. Still have his voice in my head when I need to get through something. Sooo good!

02:23 - 03:39: The scars we cannot see… they might be invisible, but they affect us much more severely than physical scars. Mental and emotional scars are our weak spots, and they can open up just as easily as physical scars unless we do the work to strengthen them. If you haven't dealt with your scars, they can alter your life's path... Eventually, you will land back in front of your mirror that never lies. Breakdown is its own kind of mirror. Whatever you're made of is laid out in front of you, clear and plain. I once let failure define me. But now, I see it as the fire that forged me. Each setback taught me resilience, and every mistake gave me a new lesson. I transformed my failures into stepping stones, and now, every challenge fuels my journey forward.

Look man, Goggins is my number 1 idol for self improvement and my shinning light. But he spends all this time growing a big strong apple tree because he was craving apples, he spent so much time that when he had the apples, he never ate any and will eventually starve. This is the issue when you devote EVERYTHING to self improvement, you never feel many of the benefits of it. I am not saying that you should not grind and put in the work, but I am saying that every once in a while, you should pick a fruit from your amazingly built tree that is your life.
@Laootse10 ай бұрын
His apple is the struggle ;)
@jermainedanteart38479 ай бұрын
You are viewing it from your perception and not from his perspective. His drive and self improvement daily is his eating of his own apples, while showing those willing to listen how to plant your own apple tree. He doesn’t care whether he eats or not, he passes up millions of dollars in speaking engagements to fight fires. His stomach is more than full. Be well

Why is his true, unapologetic speech being censored? The words he chooses, cuss words included, give life and power to his teachings. Don't sensor a passionate person. His cuss words emphasize what so many of us need to know. It's a shame we no longer live in a Country or within a society that no longer values or understands the importance of free speech. This is one of the freedoms we were founded on, yet we no longer honor it or respect it. We have given up this right and soon everything we say will be censored, soon we will all be quieted to a hush.
