Yeah, and Pricilla's mom was scared that Pricilla was going to say in Germany and get married to the boy she was dating. Pricilla's mom and stepdad were given stuff from Elvis it was not money it was furniture. And Pricilla's mom had stars in her eyes and pretty much forced Pricilla into going with Elvis even though Pricilla no longer had an interest in Elvis, Pricilla was in love with the boy she was dating when she was in high school in Germany. And Pricilla's parents pretty much blackmailed Elvis into marring Pricilla, they were going to tell all about Elvis dating their very underage daughter and Col. Parker even told Elvis he had to marry Pricilla to avoid the scandal, Elvis said he did not care he did not want to marry Pricilla, in the end we all know what happened.

I just saw another video yesterday that played the recording of Elvis & Red West in 1976. On the call Elvis talks about being "Railroaded" in getting married & it happened so fast he didn't even know who all was there. So now we know what we've believed all along that he didn't want to marry her. How sad for Elvis & frustrating to keep seeing her facade to this day !!

@@ELaz-jq6em Sure, literally no one put a gun to his head but it is now well established that Priscilla's stepfather, with the support of the bastard Parker (who thus deluded himself into trapping and being able to control Elvis even better), influenced him. Beaulieau blackmailed him by telling him that if the press knew that Priscilla was living in Graceland when she was not yet of age, it would ruin his career, Parker "confirmed" and unfortunately Elvis, always too naive, believed this bullshit, if he had been smarter, he would have replied that the responsibility was at least half, since Priscilla had gone with her parents' permission and in fact her father had accompanied her so perhaps he could have avoided this marriage that he absolutely didn't want. Unlike Priscilla who had the goal of becoming his wife since the beginning! In fact it is even more detestable to see that she wants to be seen as a victim, she never was, she REALLY was never forced! Then, if Elvis was such a monster why didn't she leave, why the stepfather cared so much about making her marry? A good parent who discovers that the future son-in-law is such a monster, saves his daughter and doesn't force the "monster" to marry her!

Were her parents wrong for giving into an underage girl to be with a grown ass man/superstar? Absolutely! But she drove them crazy they had no choice in the matter and she threatened she wud run away and never come back if they didn't allow her to go. So ir wasnt a win win situation. Priscilla got what she wanted. She had her eye on the prize from the get go. Sad really! I agree up to a point. I recently read a book you recommended, Joyce Bova's book Don't Ask Forever. I must disagree with your recommendation because as far as I was concerned this book is complete crap. It's a soft-porn romance novel in every single way, including its title. I learned nothing constructive about Elvis from that book. If that were the first book I had read on Elvis, I would come away from it thinking he was nothing more than a drug-addled control freak, who, oh yeah, happened to sing on the side. I would be interested to know what you find so great about this book. I'm grateful that I've been an Elvis fan for 48 years and read many, many books on his great talent before hacking through books like Joyce Bova's. I have NO desire to read about how Elvis had sex or fell asleep before the sex was even finished. I don't dispute her right to write that stuff, it's a free press etc., but neither to I dispute my right to criticise the book heavily, which I do. x

It‘s shameless and disgusting that Priscilla faked her innocence and personality and who she was just to get Elvis. She was wearing a mask all from the beginning, she was in love with Elvis the superstar and she and her mother both were huge Elvis fans and desperately wanted to win Elvis over. Priscilla‘s obsession with Elvis and infatuation was proven in the book. Elvis never knew what type of person she is, she was no virgin and the story of her being a virgin till wedding night is absolutely ridiculous because only a dumb person would believe that. She even admitted in her own book that she was interested in sex beginning age 13 and that‘s when she first started having sex. She was no virgin when she met Elvis yet he never knew about it. But in answer to your question, she said she wrote it to counter some very cruel and untrue things that had been said about Elvis in other books especially the very cruel Albert Goldman book, "Elvis" She said of Lisa, "I didn't want her to think that was her father." However, she would never sue for libel or slander for Elvis, so I think it was really her just wanting attention for herself.

I used to believe Priscilla and used to defend and respect her once. I actually met Priscilla in Perth Western Australia when the Elvis concert was doing the world tour. I heard Priscilla talk about Elvis and actually spoke to her for one minute. My opinion changed after meeting Priscilla would not believe a word she said again. Also i have started to research Priscilla Beaulieu and she was no innocent 14 year old school girl. She was what we called in England a tramp every easy, she loved mature older men and men loved her.

I've been to a similar concert when she made the introduction on stage. Also in that occasion I had the feeling she follows a well written script. I have never seen her speaking with the heart. I feel the same when I watch her interviews. Everything is calculated, measured and constructed to create an image of a loving and devoted woman. It's a shame that her behavior has always gone in the opposite direction.

She said her Aunt( I can't remember her name) and Uncle Curry met Priscilla at the Eagle's club and that both of them took her to meet Elvis. What did he think was going to happen? Granted, I am not a Priscilla fan and I think she lies. But Elvis has to be culpable for bringing her there and keeping her there. I dunno I believe her , I believe her first movie " Elvis and me" from 1988 I can see Elvis behaving that way the portrayed in it. His temper ,etc the footage I see of her at the airport watching Elvis leave Germany, she truly looked in love and sad to see him go, there is footage of it they rarely show, the look on her face. See I do believe Currie's story and I do believe she had sex before Elvis, I do believe her friends. I do think she was trying to portray an image of herself, one that she had portrayed to Elvis. However, girls who are highly sexed when young teens, are usually suffering from some sort of abuse or neglect at home. They are seeking that feeling of closeness and love they can't get at home. This makes me sad to think she felt she had to do this. I also don't blame her for 'taking advantage' of Elvis as you say, because according to the book Child Bride she didn't even want Elvis, but was forced to him. Due to the power imbalance it's just not possible for a 14 year old child to take advantage of a 24 year old megastar. But the average pregnancy is a few weeks over nine months and Lisa was born nine months to the day. It would have been to Priscilla's advantage to get pregnant because Ann Margret was pretty close, or appeared to be pretty close, to stealing Elvis away from her.
