I am so happy that Danny Smith, Mindi Miller, Linda Thompson, and Ginger Alden have all come out with Statements in defense of Elvis. I hope that more family, friends, and girlfriends they are still here will make statements on Elvis’ behalf.

The questions were all pre chosen by Priscilla herself and she picked the questions herself and planned them all ahead, she even contradicted herself saying Lisa was with her when she found out Elvis died and then said that Lisa called her first or smth it was so strange. I don’t know what she exactly said but she definitely contradicted herself about Lisa and when they found out Elvis died.

I’ve never even thought if I were a fan of hers or not. Back 50 years ago, all we thought about or cared about was ELVIS. She lost Elvis, her grand son her only daughter, She is in the spot light wherever she goes. Even if you’re telling the Gods honest truth anyone would get a few things mixed up, she’s a human being. Tell me what good does it do for Elvis’s memory to continue to put Priscilla on the stand???

1. Elvis divorced Priscilla and Elvis stated she was not to use the Presley name. She went back to her maiden name, and then went back to using Presley after Vernon passed. 2. She was NO longer his wife, so she needs to stop presenting herself as such. 3. Lisa Marie did not approve of this movie hince it not coming out after Lisa passed 4. Priscilla is nothing but a thief from Lisa and her grandchildren. 5. Tom Parker along with her parents forced Elvis to marry her. 6. I have honestly been saying all of this for years, to be honest I've never trusted much of what she said. She has contridicated herself many times. I read her book in the 80s and said different things over the years. Anita Wood said she found letters from Priscilla begging him to let her come see him and asked him to speak to her parents. I heard the exact same, I also heard Priscilla lying about her stepfather to Elvis, claiming that he is an alcoholic and violent and would come to her door and bang on it etc. I can imagine her doing that to gain empathy and make Elvis bring her to Graceland. She tried everything in her power to meet Elvis and marry him. She is a sick and creepy and obsessive women, I have quite literally never seen anything like this. Not even a fan would act like this, this is straight up stalker behavior.

Sure I heard Lisa-Marie talk about being ushered away when Elvis was found and phoning Linda to tell her Daddy was dead? I give Priscilla credit for opening Graceland. His legacy deserves and required a focal point. Even if her motive was money, ultimately she did the right thing for fans. But she's not Royalty, just living off the reflected glory of the King.

I started to watch this interview but couldn't get through all the BS. I read Priscilla's book which was shocking. She revealed so many intimate details that one day her daughter might read. I lost all respect for her the. I also read Child Bride which was a real eye opener. I agree with you about Priscilla keeping herself in the limelight and it is constant. That was the softest interview I've heard Piers Morgan do. It was a rehabilitation interview from suing Lisa's will, by suing her own granddaughter, making it all public in the media, and not talking at all about Lisa. Lisa died and Priscilla monopolized the media with suing Lisa's will. She never said one thing about Lisa. Even at her funeral. She read something Findley wrote about Lisa to the mourners. The media picked it up that Priscilla said it, not that she was reading Findley's text. She let everyone give her credit for it but She has never said anything specifically complimentary about Lisa. I personally feel that when Elvis said, "Lisa is the love of my life". Priscilla began hating her as SHE thought SHE was the love of Elvis' life. She was a horrible mother. Not a good grandmother. She's a Narcissistic fake, who only cares about one person. That is herself. Not even Navarone. She lied to him, and he ended up hating Lisa his whole life. Still does. His father was the one who told Lisa Siegel, her accountant, and her mother were trying to bankrupt Graceland. Where is Marco? Who knows? But he probably had to sign an NDA that he would never talk about Priscilla. When she's gone how many people will be alive to tell what they could not tell their whole lives about what they know about Priscilla?

I do believe that Elvis was forced into his marriage with Cilla . I don't like the woman and think she was after him for his fame and money. However Red West never recorded any such words from Elvis. The recording, and I have heard it, is simply about the wedding and the book he and Sonny were writing. Elvis says, "that wedding, that wedding thing". Red says there is nothing in the book that is really bad, and Elvis replies "you have to do what you have to do " So, Elvis refers to the wedding, but he at no stage says He was forced into it , even though as I have stated, I believe he was.

Her daddy only threatened Elvis because Elvis approached Priscilla's parents while in Germany and asked if they would send Priscilla to the USA when she was 16. The contract stated that Priscilla would live with Elvis' parents and finish her education, and that Elvis would marry her when she was of age. Her parents were idiots to even consider this. Elvis more so. As his career skyrocketed, and he was having affairs with so many women, he desperately tried to get out of the contract. I wouldn't give Red West any credibility. It was his book "Elvis What Happened", published about a week before Elvis died, which helped push him over the edge.

Priscilla has always been extremely shallow and people sense it. There's a coldness in her. But this movie her daughter vehemently objected to, has really shown this woman for the conniving manipulator she always was and the girl who broke Elvis. It wasn't that he was broken from being so in love with her. It was that he did as he was commanded to do, pledged his devotion to her and DID care for her and provide for her. Elvis was broken because he did the right thing in marrying Priscilla and she walked away from him with another man, basically trashing their marriage and taking his adored daughter with her. When I saw the tone Piers took with her and witnessed her acting - a scant 2.36 minutes in, I had to turn it off. Shame on her.

He couldn't live as the rest of us. The man KNEW he was not ready for a marriage commitment but he did it. His little family was his anchor; his one constant. And when it fell apart his life became unmoored. His life & rise was meteoric but so very very lonely and sad in the end. A crass manager who did not nurture this man's extraordinary talent; a manipulative determined little girl-woman and betrayal of friends exposing his prescription issues led to Elvis' decline. There is no reason to believe Beaulieu’s story about Elvis having a weird hang-up about having sex with a mother: 1) She later walked back this statement, claiming they did have sex. Also, it was much later than this whopper that she claimed Elvis raped her. 2) Elvis told his father that he wanted to marry Ginger Alden, and that he wanted her to be the mother of his future CHILDREN. Elvis also dated women who had children. 3) If Beaulieu is the source, I think it is safe to say that she is more likely to be lying than not, because, if for nothing else, she is certainly legendary for making a living by lying about her ex. 4) Elvis confided that sexually, Beaulieu was the aggressor, and this is further corroborated by her lovers in Germany, up until she left for Graceland at a few weeks shy of 18 years old, and lovers during and after her marriage. Elvis didn’t want to marry her, so it is safe to assume that he didn’t want to have sex with her, either, but, because he was non-confrontational, this may have been his ‘gentle’ way of communicating his lack of sexual desire for her. I personally think she fabricated the whole story to make Elvis look monstrous.

He was given a list of questions to ask her because he doesn't know anything about Elvis etc. Even if he did, he was paid WELL to do an extremely SOFT interview to try to rehabilitate Priscilla from the horror of suing her daughters will, and.... what a witch she was putting Riley, her own granddaughter, through that while she was grieving and making a series etc.

For her parents it was a financial decision not a family decision and it worked, from the second she married Elvis, she and her siblings were taken care of for life. I think Priscilla makes a spectacle out of being the only woman Elvis was ever married to but again, I think that's not the brag she acts like it is since he died so young. It's amazing to see this woman claim she never badmouths Elvis yet makes a movie that turns him into an abusive grooming predator. Priscilla stans like to think his fans just can't accept he had any faults but really we can and do, her fans can't accept that she's not a naive innocent victim and that she's the only one who smears his character and reputation meanwhile Linda Thompson does an amazing job of talking about Elvis as a person with good and bad traits yet never condemns him for it & cherishes his memory. I have so many thoughts about Priscilla. I think Elvis could confide in her whilst in Germany because that lines up with what a lot of his other GFs say that there was a big emotional component. I don't think Elvis slept with her while she was still underage (he had other options for that) but I don't think it was completely chaste either but after she turned 18, as long as there was consent it's no one's business.

@elvisistheman I agree with your review. I laughed a few times too. Piers looked like a lovesick puppy. He was coaching her and giving her cues how to respond. In my opinion, this interview was given to do damage control. So many contradictions but not once did he challenge her. Very poor journalism. What happened to bringing the facts and letting people decide for themselves? This movie is a one sided opportunistic agenda by a feminist director to make Elvis look like he took advantage of a young girl and she prevailed stronger. Why make the same movie 35 years later? Elvis is getting attention, Lisa dies, taking attention away from her so he had to do something to stay relevant. The only movie I want to see about Priscilla is HER affairs, how she sued him multiple times for more money, she sued Vernon for more money, she put a lien on Graceland as part of her settlement when he took her out of his will, tried to sue members of the MM, she stole money from her daughter and now her grandchildren, rewrites history so that we forget she gave derogatory interviews while he was alive to hurt him saying Stone was more of a man. The only grooming being done was by her mother and stepfather, grooming her to trap Elvis. You are correct when you say it's because he was famous they let her go live with him. While back then it was normal to get married at 14, 15, 16 to much older men, it was not normal to live with a man in "sin" so if Elvis the truck driver had asked to date her, they may have been okay with it, but I highly doubt they'd have allowed her to live with him in another country unless they were married. The money played a big part in that decision. It seems to me that she was the one persuing Elvis after he left Germany to stay relevant in his mind. She has made a career of being his widow even though she was the ex, she has ridden on his coattails and his achievements and Lisa's inheritance for 50 years then has the nerve to say she has no privacy. If she wants privacy, she should give up the Presley name as he stipulated in their settlement and stop giving interviews. No one cares about her, she hasn't done anything to warrant 2 movies about her. As for being pregnant, the math doesn't support this, also, there is footage of them at the airport after the wedding and she is in a tight dress. Also, Lisa was born 9 months after the wedding, if he married her for that reason, she'd have had to be pregnant for at least a month and Lisa would have been born earlier than Feb. I don't believe she was pregnant on the wedding day, but I do think he was pressured to marry her. Him not wanting to have sex after Lisa was born, might have something to do with knowing she had her affair 6 weeks after Lisa was born. Her saying he didnt want sex with a mother could be her way of covering up what she did and being the victim once again. He had no problem sleeping with orher women who had children. "Poor me, I was trapped, I didn't have a life, he didn't want me, that'swhyIhad an affair". She wasn't that trapped if she managed to have 2 affairs. She managed to leave him just fine for Stone. He didn't stop any woman from leaving him because by the time the woman left, he was done with her. That was his way of showing her he's not interested. As for being buried next to him, the self importance of this woman is astounding! I doubt if he was Elvis the truck driver she would be demanding to be buried next to him. And expecting his dad or grandmother be moved so she can be next to him, what a joke! Then Piers goes on to talk about the talent in the Presley family and she talks about her son, ummm, he's not a Presley, neither is she. Why is she including her son in this equation? If she wants to bring up her son, then bring up his father, don't make out like he is Elvis' son and he got his "talent" from Elvis. This woman is delusional.

The golf cart events, where Lisa played with her little friend I actually think happened. I heard this story before from another source, I cant remember which, but I think it was Linda Thompson or even Lisa herself. In fact this is a very normal reaction children have, when faced with trauma. They have the ability to go in and out of the grieving process in seconds. One moment they can be overwhelmed by sadness, the next they can be playing as if nothing has happened. It is a way of protecting themself in the situation, that usually adults are unable to do. So yes the golf cart incident is likely to have happened.

Spot on David. I watched the interview about a week ago for only 5 mins then shut it off. I had a look in the comments of this Piers Morgans interview and I saw the amount of commentary saying what a brilliant interview this was, how he asked such poignant questions. Then I went back and watched the video. What a trainwreck of an interview, firstly by Piers for not being well-read enough to ask any decent questions and for prompting her in the questions with the response she should give but also by Priscilla, how could she think people who've read her book wouldn't pull apart and see the different answers. That's the problem when you don't tell the truth to begin with, you have to have a very very good memory. Spot on Lisa wasn't with Priscilla, in fact Lisa spoke to Linda before her mother. Piers says now you've got a movie about your life, well actually Piers it's about a short period of her life when she was Elvis, nothing pre or post Elvis. Think about this, Priscilla was an aesthetically beautiful woman, why would Elvis not want to sleep with her after LMP was born? It's rubbish he didn't sleep with women that had a child, we know he did with other women. No, I put it to you he wasn't attracted to her, he lost interest in her, met other women who satisfied that need. Why does a virile man after 1968 at only 33 years old stop sleeping with his beautiful wife. The answer is obvious to me. To think that sometime in the future fans will have to walk past Elvis's ex-wife to pay their respects to Elvis is unpalatable to me.

I am an Elvis fan and have been for a long time. But I still don’t understand why people care so much about if Elvis and Priscilla’s private life? Whatever happened, happened, it is their story, their life, who cares if movies were made about him, trying to “show their life” , now this new movie about her own life, who cares if it’s the real story? A movie is always a movie and there is artistic license - it’s someone else telling a story, another lecture of that reality, even if Priscilla is part of the production or is working with the director to “aprove” or “disapprove” the way her story will be told. It’s her story to tell. No offense, but no one needs to “buy” or believe everything in her story, it’s her take in their life, and she doesn’t need to say everything. Just let her be, people. This woman has had so many losses in her life already, she is human too like any of us. She did a great thing in Graceland, and I am very glad she did, she didn’t have to do, Graceland was almost bankrupt after Elvis died. She was the right person to take care of it. And of course, she was not alone, but she is a very business savvy woman. Elvis and Priscilla had the right to have a private life, we don’t need to know everything or judge if she loved him or just wanted his money, or if he felt obligated to marry her. He is not here anymore, unfortunately, and Priscilla has made her life work to keep his legacy alive, and this was good for Lisa and her daughters too. I don’t think Lisa would have done what has been done in Graceland by herself, she was to young when he died, and had so much to live and grow, so much to figure out like any little girl in her situation. No matter what people say, I have a lot of respect for Priscilla Presley. And it’s ok if she still uses the name Presley, she gave birth to a Presley, and she has the right to chose which name to use in this country, unless the Presleys themselves had prohibited her to keep the last name.

The Elvis movie, unlike the Priscilla movie, took the high road and choose not to destroy her. Also, Priscilla said that Austin got everything about Elvis spot on. I would like to ask her why she wrote her book barely 2 years after Elvis died. She did an interview with Barbara Walters when the book was about to released. Being 80 now, I saw the original interview and have said all along that it was apparent at that time that she was embellishing the stories in the book to make it a best seller. I’m just sorry that Riley gave in and is now allowing her to be buried there.

I don't believe Priscilla will be buried there. #1 Riley said, "to the extent of MY authority", meaning there are others on the Graceland board of directors who have a say on this issue. She got out of it the best way she could at the time, but when Priscilla dies she won't be buried there. Joel Weinshanker fired Priscilla from EPE in 2020. It's not known why, but he wants nothing to do with her. Which means he probably had to sign an NDA not to talk about it. When Priscilla dies and all the NDA are invalid, everyone and their brother will be talking about what they couldn't say while she was alive.
