I remember when i once went to a sort of pseudo ‘science convention’ called the “Big Bang Fair” when i was in secondary school in year 8/9 for a school trip to see what career a person could get in engineering. Wasn’t interested in the slightest but it was honestly fun as hell. I could never ever go to a convention by my own accord though. Especially to a gaming convention. Im particularly nerdy but too many awkward, anti social, chaotic people in one room would just be too much for me. Sometimes its better to not bother with the fandom and enjoy something on your own. i remember that one time when i took a trip to toronto with my grandparents, and when we were walking around, looking at all the big buildings, when we passed by a convention. cant remember what it was called, but it was huge. i saw some REALLY good halo cosplays, and a couple of furries. right when i was at the end if the sidewalk, i saw something ill never forget. a 10 year old girl in a quarter of a fursuit, with a 7 year old boy walking next to previously mentioned girl, also in a quarter of a fursuit. this community never ceases to amaze me.
