When I worked at Verizon, I literally was working next to an apple store. Everyday, for almost a year, I would do air drop pranks at random times. I would periodically change my device name as to never get found out. I sent so many memes, the store put up a poster on their door warning people to turn off the air drop function before heading in.

@@patrikarnic I don’t trust android phones anymore. All my androids got viruses way too easily and android (especially Samsung) phones have been a hide security risk for me. Especially Samsung pay. Only place my debit card was saved and it somehow was used for crypto currency (which I never use). Apple is the only company that’s never done any bad to me. Also there’s an iPhone for only $429. That’s cheaper than many Samsungs available

I was a part time cleaner at an Apple Store in a mall once. It gets surprisingly dirty at the end of the day, wasn’t a bad job though. They had some offices, changing rooms, a repair room, lounge area and a locker area in the back. Apple puts a lot of money into the store, the front display alone I heard is 4.5 million USD.

I remember window shopping alot for the psp lol. My first was the gameboy. Then I saved up pennies (literally like a whole box full of 1,2 5 pence, etc) to buy my first psp. Then we went to Paris to visit my Family and my mum told me to give the psp away to my cousin ‘as a gift’, even though I was blackmailed lol. But I got another one soon after. I had the Nokie brick phone, then Samsung, then Sony, then Huawei then iphone, I found iphone to be the best (for me). I love all the other product they make that go with it, except for Macs. I hate the Mac, never buying that again.

Apple Stores have never been the same, especially after Covid. There was always a looming fear of having to make up a general "purpose" when confronted by employees who see you browsing, but now you're FORCED to look an employee directly in the eye and tell them why you're there just to STEP FOOT in the store! There's something so soul-crushing about having to wait in line to enter a store you don't intend to spend any money in that day.

Here's something that many don't know. Apple has special offices dedicated to creating Apple Store experiences. Inside the building they re-create an Apple Store down to the last detail just to test their ideas and stuff(and no its not open to the public.) They even go as far as having the Apple Store wifi network and having all real active displays. I don't know how those people work there without the temptation to play with all the displays.

Once I was shopping and the newly opened Apple store caught my eye. Went in there and I was one of the first customers, so the employees were following me like someone had programmed them to do so. But after they got loose, I managed to go to every devise on display and set an alarm on all of them for the same time. Left after that, but stayed around just to see everyone's amazed faces after they all rang at the same time. I also left some beautiful pictures on every phone I touched. Great experience, left a review, better done than any school project or essay I've ever written.(they had a place for leaving reviews on the front desk, honestly I've never seen something like that before)

Another thing about the "genius" bar is that theyll look at your problem, take the device away behind a corner, play candy crush for a couple minutes, come back and say the problem is unfixable while sliding the newer model towards you on the table.

Literally my experience. Went to the genius bar with a cracked screen on my iPad, employee told me it was “literally unfixable” and I should turn it in and pay 520 bucks for a replacement I’d receive in about two weeks. Left, went to my trusty bootleg repair man and he had it fixed for 230 bucks in less than 3 hours.

I do something evil, I go to all the phones, and set an alarm on all of them to 1 hour. So minute after minute after minute is just constant alarms, truly beautiful.
