I do not recommend buying these if you are looking for precise measurements. Some of them suddenly jump from ~20% to getting stuck at 10% until you blow a breath into them "jumpstarting" them again. Might just be a matter of them being that inaccurate.
I figure these shortingpads are in most if not all of these cheap hygrometers. I tried a few different methods before settling on scraping it.
Hot air desoldering killed one outright.
Regular soldering iron killed the hygrometer and degree measurement.
Scraping it has worked best so far.
There is a little c/f marking right next to the solder if you look closely.
Well do this at your own risk. They are dirt cheap but it might still be a waste of money to buy them and do this.
The hygrometer goes back to normal values after being set down for a bit. Seems it detects the moisture from your skin if you handle them thus giving that insane value.
