Great work George I can't wait to hear it run either. I once had an early square S10 that started dying on me and I put everything under the sun on it from the injectors, computer, fuel pump, distributor module, and I don't remember what else but I finally gave up and sold it.
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan2 жыл бұрын
My son-in-law, the Big Dawg, asked me what I was going to do if it doesn't run...I don't have an answer for that, as I am focused on getting it going. Maybe even today! Thanks so much John. I was ready to give up after throwing all the stuff at the computer system including the $$$$. Well, I have spent much more $$$ now for this conversion, but am confident I can make this work. I'm sure I'll still have some gremlins to chase even after getting it started.

I expect to hook up the cruise once everything else is working. I'm trying to accomplish the necessary things first. You'll need to get a distributor for a V6 engine: here is the link to the one I bought: www.ebay.com/itm/262671175600 V6 and V8 are similar but not the same. You can contact me at theshadetreefixitman@gmail.com

The problem you are having is the oil pump drive is not lined up, put the large cap HEI distributor in and turn the engine over and it will drop down into position... Make sure you have a melonized gear on your distributor... A V6 and V8 distributor are NOT the same!!! This old man might get lucky and get this to start but I don't think he has a clue what he's doing...
