I have his book "Literary Converts", which is a great read - I highly recommend it! After that I bought his biography on Oscar Wilde - awesome read as well! His books are very necessary, in my opinion, for a good overview of the thread of the histories of these conversions - and the "battle" with the in so many ways opposing currents of society.

Literary Converts is a great read! It's got a great account of the Catholic conversion of Sir Alec Guinness (AKA Obi-Wan Kenobi)....

Thank you Mr Pearce. I have learnt so much from you. Thought I knew my English history quite well. I have just finished reading your book Faith of our Fathers. A history of True England. I grew up in England. Miss it so very much.married a young man in the U.S. Air Force over 53 yrs ago. Was brought up in the Church of England. His parents were very strict Protestants. I lived with them for a year while he served in Vietnam. Worst year of my life. Our marriage never got of to a good start. Long story. I meet so many lovely faithful Catholic people and converted to the Catholic Church. God bless you kind gentleman. From Diane.

Mr Pearce is brilliant. The lost cause of the Jacobites didn't end with Culloden. These converts were real heroic patriots, who fought for the True Faith of England. England belongs to our Blessed Mother, it is Our Lady's Dowry!!!!
