I can relate on buying things when I’m close to being out then just having too much. Especially flour. I don’t like to keep a ton on hand, maybe 10lbs? But then when I’m down too much I buy more and then it doesn’t fit in the container. Spices too

I have made many different throw pillows, duvet covers with button closing. I seen one of your videos were you sewed ties on the pillow cases and just loved it. Looked it up and it’s very vintage. I like your sewing on the children’s clothes too. Blessings

Sheppards pie in New England, more so where I grew up in Maine, is literally cooked ground beef, corn and mashed potatoes, along with a veggie on the side. My great aunt who came off the boat fron Ireland, made hers with lamb, more veggies and in a gravy, topped with potatoes.

Here in Australia it’s shepherds pie when using lamb mince and cottage pie when it’s beef. If you use venison I’m not sure what it’s called... we can’t call it Hunter pie as that’s taken... maybe forest pie? If I were to use kangaroo, I’d have to call it skippy pie 🤣 I don’t typically cook ground roo though. It has a metallic taste when over cooked so it’s best as a steak/fillet and cooked lightly... anyway, I digress lol. Great video as always 👏🏻

My hubby is such a pig. I saw your first meal, and thought, well thats enough to feed me and him, for one meal, and he'll want snacks after, and dinner later... He eats half a skillet of food, and says he's still hungry... men... lol. I have to cook like I'm cooking for an army to have enough to feed him, and have leftovers. Chicken tacos are a snack for my man. Oh how I wish I could serve soup for dinner, he always complains that soup is never filling. Everything looks delicious tho, and I'll definitely have to try that roasted garlic trick! Oh, and for the potroast did you brown it first, then cook it? How long did you brown in on saute before cooking if so?

Hi Lisa, greetings from Western Australia. When cooking mashed potatoes, I peel about 3 cloves of garlic to about 6 medium potatoes and boil the garlic in with the potatoes and salt. (I don't chop the garlic, just take the skins off). Cook as normal, drain n leave a little of the cooking water in the pot (this has flavour) add butter and milk. Works every time. Ps atm my hands are sore with arthritis so I'm not even peeling the potatoes just chopping and boiling

I think I will put that on the menu for next week. I think I will be making roast for Sunday dinner. I wish I had more time to make more fresh things. I don't buy many processed foods, but I want to make homemade bread and your homemade tortillas I'm sure I would like so much better than the store bought ones. They really look easy too!

Cook it very low for a few hours until the garlic is a little golden and then drain it (reserve garlic infused oil for cooking) then mash the garlic and keep it in the fridge to use in all kind of recipes. Delicious!
