Hey Lisa - I commented this before on a previous video but i was a few days late so I figured I’d post it again on your new vid to try and get it actually seen haha. I love your videos and have a video suggestion: a week in the life of your sourdough starter. Your instructional videos are awesome and I've watched them all but it would be so fun to see how you actually use it and feed it in a real normal week. It'd also give some interesting insight into how frequently you are having to replenish breads in a standard week with your family size. So when you take move it in/out of the fridge, when you prep, when feed, how much you feed, what you make and how frequently.

I love the tips you give us weekly! I struggle with making hard boiled eggs...silly as it sounds! 🤦🏻♀️ Sounds like another reason for purchasing an Instant Pot! I devour sweet potato fries and never heard of using cornstarch to add crunch! I make a similar one pot meal by frying up six slices of bacon, laying them aside, adding onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, broccoli or cabbage; cook until tender. Add sliced sausage and crumble the bacon on top and heat the sausage through. I serve mine with cornbread. A great one pot meal for cool spring evenings (here in western NC we’ve had two nights of 27* weather ❄️) I enjoy when you show us your eggs, so many colors! Thank you again for spending Saturday morning with me! 🥰🙌🏻💕👍🏻💗

Also a great new idea to make the red cabbage this way. In my country we only eat it in the winter . Then it's cooked for hours with onions , apples and spices like cloves and cinnamon ( mulled wine spices) and a spoonful of red current jelly. I love your videos !

You can defrost ground beef very fast if put in hot tap water. Any meat except maybe a roast can be defrosted in hot water relatively quickly. (Chicken pieces, ground anything, chopped stew meat, etc.)

I'm finally nailing great sourdough that has eluded me for years. Thank you xxoo

A good tip for the crispiest sweet potato fries is to soak it in super cold water for about 10-20 minutes. It pulls all the extra starches and it’s sooo crispy! My fiancé loves when I do it like that.

Lisa, watching your cooking always makes me hungry - everything looks so delicious ! I recently tried my first sourdough starter because everything you make with that looks so interesting but my starter died on day 4. Maybe I used the wrong flour ( I'm not sure the flour I use here in Germany is right. I always use Dinkelflour. Dinkel is some old kind of wheat with less gluten and it's more nutrient . Anyway I got a bit discouraged by that experience .

Did you grow up eating this healthy? I just ask because I grew up eating very unhealthy and now I am a very picky eater and find it hard to like very many things. I want my children to eat healthier things, but I honestly don't know where to start because we all eat pretty unhealthy right now and they have already learned to be picky also. 😞 Do your children really like all of these foods? I also was not really taught on how to cook growing up and now I'm always scared that I won't cook something right and cause everyone to get sick. I just find you so inspirational on how you are raising your family! You are such a good Mama!
