This incredible video uses skills that I have been learning about from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). As a man with both bipolar and OCD, I found this kind of thinking very helpful. It is particularly about thinking before reacting. Defusion is one of the most helpful skills I have learned from CBT.

This was a great video to teach children different strategies they can use to self regulate. The strategy to help kids calm down like deep breaths is a tool that they can use in different scenarios inside and outside the classroom. After all, managing emotions is an important component of self regulation that children need to actively practice well into adulthood and will greatly aid them in developing a high degree of emotional intelligence. This video was entertaining and well thought out, definitely will be showing it to my child and sharing it with my friends who have children!
