That was a very nice experience, to be invited to someone's home. The food couldn't have been that spicy, though? The Javanese like their food sweet, they're infamous for that. Bu Endang and Mas Aji (and wife), if you're reading this, I love your house. What a beautiful green oasis in such a chaotic city like Jakarta.

The Central Java and Jogjakarta, yes, they like it sweet. But for East Java and West Java, they like it spicy. But, generally, Javanese prefer spicy foods, even some foods in Central Java have gotten more spicy nowadays. Because spicy food is a trend

Truly, food is a very personal endeavor! This indonesian cuisines' episode is just dope. Been a coffee lover since high school and the roasting process of the coffees in the First Crack Coffee is mesmerizing and telling your experience adds the "ugh" factor to have this shop a more thorough research and certainly to be added on my bucketlist. On the other hand, the Redjeki Culiner's Stuffed Garlic Crabs cooking has so much to do with passion and determination knowing that his mother had it perfected in a trial and error basis with her resto experience in Java. Seems like soul and passion can be seen on the way she cooks that crabs (craving currently). Plus, I'll never forget on how the Yellow Spiced Chickens were prepared - must try this weekend! Thanks, Erwan and team for introducing Indonesia's finest cuisine in our filipino-ish palate! 🤘
