Again, great vid. Four Water and Four Eggs gives Four Poached Eggs, you can substitute at least one egg for something else and still get the four poached eggs.

Keep these guides coming, great tips. I'm hoping we get access to dedicated realms - it would be helpful for the streamers of this game. I hope the Aska development team understand that growing the stream base will also help their game. Would love for a bunch of us to play together and share tips and tricks

Watching this helped so much. My first real fame of this i lost 5 villagers due to food issues and then winter came and i need to restart.

that is something i have not interacted with much. because finding meat can be so easy i tend to not interact much with the fish hut. but hopefully soon ill be able to record again and work on a video for that as well

Your wood pit also gets fiber its in with the resin so that help a lot. You also can turn bark into fiber by holding left shift and clicking it in your inventory.

that is all correct i dont remember if its in this video but i change the priority of fiber in the wood pit and the villagers will go and turn the bark to fiber. super handy early game but definitely not scalable

In the work pit you can turn 5 bark into 8 fiber turning a better profit then deconstructing it in your inventory:)

man I can't believe I ended my initial run before trying out stews, I saw the berries recipe and I thought - damn I was supposed to do a berry stew and everything else is locked-, instead you can just throw whaever and see what happens and unlock them yourself at any time, awesome! what an amazing boon and the cookhouse is my new favorite building, not only does it give you easy survival but you make your villagers happy and more productive, love this game so much after 30 gametime hours it also has the amazing benefit of its own storage and lets you easily use that for the food that is going bad in the warehouse to have it be cooked next awesome as my first time playing I thought farming cabbages was terrible and my people were starving after just using barbeque for all veggies, now I cant wait to try all the veggie stews and see their benefits

Meat soup got me through my first winter. My hunters were working over time, whilst my gatherers struggled. I had an abundance of meat, so I was doing 4 meat 4 water to get 4 soups.

you can cook eggs Would suggest to build it next to the second well so you have enough water. Even that just is enough for one shift. if you do soups

Yupp poached or scrambled. too late for that now. in the rebuild that im sure i will go through in year 2 or 3 ill take that into consideration. another thing you can do is give them another water pouch so they dont run back and forth quite as often

@@manicclo doing it with the water pouch with any good soldier, farmer and with drinking debuff ( thursty giant and athlet ) on last one i can reduce the breaktime.

I’ve done two recipes with two water. One was with mushrooms one with red meat.

try all veggies by themselves. example 4x beet and 2 water

Can you mix ingredients like meat and carrots to create like a meat and carrot stew/soup? Or will it default to a meat stew or carrot stew?

if it has even one piece of meat it ill be a meat stew

@@manicclo ok, I guess it’s a good thing in a way cause if you could mix and match to get different stews on top of the ones you can make from just using 1 type of ingredients you’d spend forever trying to find all the combinations

meat is unique in that the other ingredients don't seem to matter but I've noticed with veggies is long as you have 3 of what you are trying to make the 4th doesn't matter. if you have even amounts on different veggies then you get a veggie dish

I assigned one of my npc to do the cooking but I can only see one recipe the berrys? So not sure how to activate the other food stuff as well. And thanks for this.

you have to experiment yourself with the ingredients for the other recipes to show up. just remember to always use either 2 or 4 water. have not seen a unique recipe with 1 or 3 water.

Unwise to put the farm and the cook house together as they both use a lot of water, also the workers will take a drink there as they collect their daily food. This will mean the water will be drained in that area and if the workers have limited time and have to queue, they may not get any water and die.
