Warning !! It´s too spicy, do the same but use the quarter of the tabasco sauce and you will have a good jack daniels sauce. If you can have liquid smoke, add a little spoon and eveything will be perfect. =)

How much liquid smoke?
@zaiville3 жыл бұрын
Recipe Notes: ¼ cup: Jack Daniels 1 Teaspoon: Onion Powder ¼ cup: Tabasco Sauce (changed this amount because I heard it would be too spicy for how much he added) 2 Tablespoons: Red Wine Vinegar 2 Cups: Dark Brown Sugar ¼ Cup: Water 4 cubes: Buoillon Cubs (beef flavor) 2 Tablespoons: Worcestershire Sauce Little Spoon: Liquid Smoke (read down in the comments that it would make a difference) Thanks for making this video @cutlerylover

VERY CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL & I ALSO ADDED ABOUT I WOULD SAY A CUP OF PINEAPPLE JUICE & CHOPPED ONION (A LIL PIECE) & GARLIC (1 CLOVE). I USE ONLY ABOUT 2 OR 3 CUBES.. BCUZ WHEN I USE 4 CUBES ITS A LIL TOO SALTY FOR ME.

@cutlerylover but do you think the jd honey would cook well with this recipe? because i plan on trying it. maybe ill film and respond like you said
@haustia9 жыл бұрын
I made it after your recipe and it came out as caramell. As it became colder it hardend and finally became like crystalized honey. I assume that I added too much sugar, so I decreased the sugar ingredient to about 1.5 cup of brown sugar. I hope this helps other people as well!

I just made this. Excellent job man. I think putting some caremilized onions in this would be excellent. I made two batches the first I left boiling for to long. Actually turned the wrong eye and it got so sticky and thick. Second batch turned out great. This recipe makes a lot too.

made this using your recipe but modified it slightly it came out awesome people who have tasted it say it even tastes better than the tgi glaze. lots of people want me to make them some, fab on salmon, ps a tip with the beef cubes leave in wrapping & crush with a large flat knife such as a cleaver, turns it into powder then just tear & empty, great recipe.

@Jakeanator12 honestly If you can even taste the honey it will be subtle, with the strong flavors in this recipe I dont think the honey will stand out, NOW if you omit (take out) the hot sauce you may pick up better on the honey, but then you changed the overall flavor...try it just like this but with the JD honey and film your results ;)

looks delicious! i think personally i would've added a little garlic, some pepper, and maybe replaced some of the brown sugar with honey. still looks amazing though!

they sell this now in stores, jack Daniels bbq glaze (smokey sweet) I add a little bit of sugar then 30 secs in microwave and it tastes basically the same as tgi fridays, id say its a good 90% match, only downside is its £2 for a small bottle, but the taste is just unparalleled.

If you want to get it a little closer to the TGI Friday's version, I used to work for them and we had one of the chefs in our kitchen who designs the new dishes for the menus. She knew her stuff. Apparently the TGI's version has more honey in it than pretty much every other version of the sauce and is often considered as the secret. Perhaps next time you whip up a batch, try a bit of honey in it, maybe a little less tabasco if you feel you can taste it, as there isnt a kick in the TGI's version
