I plug mine into a power strip with an on/off switch; flipping the switch is so much easier than grasping and manipulating the plug/outlet situation. Great to make single me servings of Crea of wheat, grits, massa harina, hot chocolate, gravy, hamburger patty, sausage patty, egg, ... I've even cooked single biscuits several times and once i cooked a single chocolate cake. I really like mine ❤.

I own one of these- I travel with it & it stays in my camping gear. I’ve even cooked rice in it- you just need to watch it because you can’t control the temp- it’s either on or off. Super convenient for 1 person, portioned meals.

Howdy from Texas. I am a retired former chef and chef instructor. And I have owned one of these mini cookers from Walmart for over a year now. And I use it so often it never seems to go back up into the cabinet. But has earned its own coveted spot on my small kitchen counter. I often cook eggs in it. For my ramen soups or for a toasty egg sandwich using either just toasted Sandwich bread, English muffins, bagels, ( which I toast one at a time in the mini skillet, or small pancakes that I also make in the mini skillet for the bread. Only I mostly use the actual skillet not the grill part. Using the skillet, especially for the eggs gives you so much more control and there is no need for a spatula even if you are frying with oil. I can flip my eggs with the mini skillet fairly easily just like I do with my egg pan. And I love making single or even double poached Eggs in the mini. It's very easy and I can keep a better watch on them in the mini skillet as well. I typically just add my egg after The two tablespoons of Water get to a good simmer and then cover it for a couple of minutes until I can see the yolks turning slightly opaque. Then I remove the lid from the skillet, and remove the skillet from the grill and simply slide the poached egg onto a round strainer ladle so that all that extra water can drain into my kitchen sink. Before placing the egg on my bread of choice. The mini skillet is also great for melting butter to drizzle over your popcorn or for other recipes that call for melted butter. Pro Tip: a cap full of vinegar, ( appie or white) , into the water will help stop the whites from spreading as much.

I purchased the Dash 3 Cup Mini Rice Cooker. I have been making all sorts of soups. Like: Chicken Rice/Lentil&Bean/Hamburg&Barley/Cabbage weight loss/Mexican Chicken etc. It makes a large bowl of piping hot soup. It only consumes 200 watts on high. I like the MyMini because it is more versatile. Ideal for Van Life/camping... Bob
