I tried the recipe of the tortillas yesterday for today's lunch and MAAAMM thank you soo much ❤❤ the bread turned out amazing I added some ginger to the dough so that I don't feel the strong taste of my oats flour and it did great make sure to cover your dough with towels one under them and the other one on top so that it doesn't dry whenever you cook one you cover it once yoi finish put them in a plastic bag and put them in the fridge, I used them today they were perfect they didn't get hard stayed just like the minute I cooked them .. thank you so muchhh that's my new low calories fav bread

@NikolAckerman 👋Hi Nikol! It's my pleasure😃 to share and thank you for stopping by. So far I have only tried oatmeal and corn flour. The method to prepare either or is very similar. However with corn flour you would not want to cook the flour over the stovetop like I did with the oat flour. But instead in a mixing bowl add the warm/hot water to the corn flour and let it soak up for about 5 minutes before mixing. Then let the dough rest for about 10 minutes. Other then that, the following steps are exactly the same😊👩🏻‍🍳

Hey buddy, for this recipe you will need "old-fashion oats" which have been rolled out and easier to blend. I personally haven't used "steel-cut oats" to prepare this specific recipe. You could try to blend them and hope it doesn't ruin your blender (I don't suggest though). As for the measuring cup, I used the same. Measured the dry ingredients first, then the wet. Hope this helps and I apologize for the delay, just now returning.

Hi JJ😊 I haven't tried this recipe using oil, so I couldn't say firm results. However, the dough is much stickier compared to corn or flour tortilla dough. So you could use butter or lard when shaping the tortillas into balls, it would make the process much easier to handle. Hope this helps!

Hmmm...trying to get rid of some plain corn flour (not masa corn flour). I'll try mixing 1:1 with oat flour, making a half done fufu out of the mix on the stove stop (I'mAfrican so that part makes total sense to me), and then I'll skip the usual steaming in the second part, leave it to cool and use the dough I get from that for the tortillas. If it turns out right I'll come back here and let y'all know. TFS.
