I make pizza dough every week....great Pizza......never did the bread stick thing,until this week. Ran out of Italian bread for Garlic toast, but had a 1/2 batch of Pizza Dough......did this on the fly, an hour before everyone gets home. Didn't want to run to the store. Checked You Tube, and went All In........my Fabulous Fettuccini Alfredo was left in the dust..... EVERYONE WENT OFF on these Bread sticks! Thank you....I'll up my dough production , and put this in regular rotation.......they are the Real Deal Holy Field, Bomb Diggity, No Doubt!
@sarahhuang90824 жыл бұрын
Instructions for the breadsticks (not the sauce, sorry): 1. In a large bowl, put in 2 tsp sugar, 1/4 c warm water, 1 tsp dried active yeast. Let sit for 5 min to bloom the yeast. 2. Add 1 cup warm water, ~1/8 cup of olive oil, 2 1/2 cups bread flour or AP flour, and 1 tsp salt. 3. Mix on low with the dough hook attachment for 5-10 minutes. Mix until the dough bounces back when poked. 4. Lightly dust a working surface with flour, place dough onto it and knead into a ball. Roll to fit your pan. 5. Heavily oil your pan with olive oil and place your dough into the pan. Cover it with plastic wrap and let rise for 90 min. *[Preheat oven to 475°F / 246°C]* 6. In a separate bowl: Mix 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. 7. After the dough has risen cut into breadstick rectangles with a bench scraper or butter knife. 8. Lightly coat the soon-to-be breadsticks with melted butter and place into the oven for 10 min. 9. Take the breadsticks out of the oven and spray it with another coating of melted butter and add your parmesan topping. 10. Bake for another 5 min. 11. Cool on a cooling rack and serve :)

Karlene Karlenes The amount the recipe called for resulted in a soupy dough. This was because he used bread flour and I only had All Purpose flour. Just made a lemon pie with LOTS of whipped cream full of vanilla flavor. That's a bit too much for the waist line. Well, at least it is for me. My son really enjoyed these (I had to hide them, lol). Instead of the “butter spray” couldn’t we use egg wash?
@cookingwithkyo57444 жыл бұрын
You could, as an alternative to the spray though I would recommend just melted butter instead.

Ten/Ten I ain't some baking whiz, I have some experience with the odd cakes and stuff but bread ain't my thing and I did this today and I'm smiling from ear to ear because I will never buy another breadstick outside again!. In the UK my oven didn't go over 230 c but it somehow worked it was browning quick as well and took the same-ish time. My dough also didn't rise as much as I thought it should have- it didn't matter though it still came out close in size to yours and it was crispy outside and soft inside and I was so so happy! So thanks for the recipe I truly enjoyed it! It took me back to eating breadsticks from pizza hut in another country when I was younger. They don't do these in the UK so it made my whole year to know how to make these whenever I want! Ty

That’s awesome, I’m glad to hear it and happy you liked it. Also I think 230 C is about 450 F, so that’s pretty close to the temp I used. Thank you for watching!

@@cookingwithkyo5744 💗 oh forgot to add and yes only 16° less- so anyone with an oven that doesn't go as high don't worry just crank that bad boy up to the max and watch it and it's still a gooden 😉.

These were too soft and airy... they fell apart easily. I wish they had a little more bite/chew. I would def add more garlic powder and use only 1 cup of water. Thank u for this recipe and video!

Subscribed purely for the wholesome energy and the simple but tasty recipe. Definitely something I love to see nowadays when most of the bigger cooking channels cover really complex and hard-to-replicate recipes

I love how little yeast is used and how long the rise time is. These breadsticks were super low fuss. I used a good quality olive oil, and made the crust without parm because I didn’t have any. They were delicious! I’m going to make them again tomorrow, and just double or triple the recipe. Thanks for sharing!

In the US it is ok for chefs to wear a single smooth wedding band. Also gloves are only required for foods that will NOT be cooked, like salad, fruit, sushi...

@@cookingwithkyo5744 Or you can just take of the ring🤷♂️ As a chef this is just mighty disturbing and showing ignorance. Even tho I understand this is for you and your family and dosen't really matter, but when you talk about sanitizing🤦♂️
